this song gave me an impression of around the whole lost love subject, but different than you guys are saying. personally, this song leads me to think this is about someone losing their lover over a drug problem and blaming themselves for it. "If I could tear you from the ceiling I know the best have tried" i really think that implies the lover is high on something and her/his partner is trying to get them to quit whatever it is, but it is obviously a lost effort. by the end, i get the idea that her/his lover has left and they are blaming themselves, thinking it was their fault for not halping this addiction further. |
