Now my favourite song, i think the 'they're selling razor blades and mirrors in the street' is definitly to do with the cocaine and drug scene and how it's become so easy to get hold of drugs nowadays. 'I pray that when i'm coming down you'll be asleep' meaning when you 'come down' from your high, your feel horrible, so he prays that no one will see him when he 'comes undone' from his high. 'So need your love so fuck you all' meaning he wants the love and support he can get, but because he acts strong he says 'fuck you all' i don't need your love i can make it on my own, sort of thing. 'I am scum, I'm your son' could be towards his mother how ashamed he is of his behaviour, but also to the british public as he says a lot 'England im your son.' This has become one of my favourite robbie songs. |

I love this song, i think it's a referral to him coming off drugs, because he had only experienced 'real love' and 'the home that i live in' while on a high from drugs. Also 'i've got so much life running through my veins going to waste' could be to do with injecting drugs which 'run through his veins' but he doesn't even kow what's going on during his 'high', hence the line 'going to waste.' |

This song is about Robbie trying to stop blaming himself about his past and get on with his life trying to be a 'better man' as he gave up drink and drugs. I also noticed the line 'Rest assured my angels' meaning no matter how bad some of his songs are he can always depend on 'angels' probably his most famous song. Never noticed this before just thought it was quite interesting, anyone else agree? |

I think it's about people who have hit that part of their life where they think they'll never find love, hence the 'are you getting on a bit' you think that's the reason your single? Also that you turn on the radio and you hear love songs, it's as if you can't find love, but it's everywhere. Many people think Robbie is Gay or maybe Bi, so he plays on this in his songs the line 'I know this girl she likes to switch teams' as almost every song has a referral to gay or bisexual people, so he adds these lines in to play with the media a bit, a great song, not that famous but most of his best aren't that well known! Great songwriter. Great song. |

This song is so beautiful! 'Everynight you admit defeat, and cry yourself blind' as in everynight you think there's no hope and cry yourself to sleep. But then it says 'you wont be lost, hurt, tired and lonely something beautiful will come your way' meaning there is someone out there for everyone, so someome that loves you for who you are and cherishes your qualities and not just your 'physical' will come your way. hence the line 'passions just physical these days' means to me, love and beauty nowadays are based around image and looks rather than 'something beautiful' deep inside a person. Also i love the line 'All your friends think you're satisfied, But they can't see your soul' i can relate to this because i went through a depressive stage and my friends all thought i was fine because i put on a brave face but they didn't know what was going on, such a beautiful song, doesn't get much attention thought? Should do it's purely amazing. |

"Every mistake I've ever made
Has been rehashed and then replayed" maybe means everything little thing he does is shown in the media, be it good or bad, and if he is ashamed about it it is replayed to him. And the lines 'everything i touched was golden, everything i loved got broken' probably means '(as most of you agree too) about the story of the king who wanted everything he touched to be golden and he touched his daughter who turned to gold, showing that he lost the one thing he loved more than gold, basically fame and fortune has got the better of him, causing him to lose things he loved. I love the contrasts between the music from upbeat to slow and meaningful makes the song seem less depressing? Didn't really know this song has so much meaning!! Love it now |

And that's a good line to take it to
The bridge
could obviously be take it to the bridge as in the bit before a chorus, but it also means committing suicide 'take it to the bridge' because when he wakes up he has this image to the public of being a strong confident guy, and when he see's the real him in the morning? Then going on to say 'you think that i'm strong, your wrong, your wrong' meaning we think he's a strong person but isn't really. "So take a pill to numb the pain" meaning he uses drugs to numb the pain of the media, and the people who criticize him for his ego. Good song |

i think this song is about his regrets in his past, however he doesnt regret it because he wouldn't be where he is now. the bit where it says 'If you ain't sticking your knives in me, You will be eventually' basically if you don't hate him now you will. i also like the bit 'thanks for keeping me company, you've all been so nice to me' is referring to his true fans, and the people who attend his concerts, buy his records etc saying thanks personally to them. 'it's all been too much for me' meaning he's even shocked when he looks back at his life, really don't understand the 'mushroom' bit though! all i can think of is that mushrooms are a form of drug and i know he used to do drugs but haha who knows what it means?! anyone? |

This song is amazing, i saw robbie at milton keynes a few weeks ago, and everyone in the crowd was singing this song was purely incredible, he said in an interview once that when everyone sings that songs he is overwhelmed and gets really emotional and by the looks of it, he was crying. I think it is about looking up to a loved one who has passed away, seeking advice saying 'and through it all she offers me protection' so maybe they didn't get on so well in their lives but that loved one will always be there for you. I want this song played at my funeral as to show my family that i'll always be there looking down on them, a truely amazing song |

it could be about a friend a love whatever but i think.. the bit where it says

are them sort of teenage puppy love type romances where you go walking along the beach, talk about how much you hate your parents and lay watching the stars and stuff, it reminds me of that and the way you want to be with them forever but things never stay that way so it says 'i hope you find your freedom.. for eternity' so you hope that 'one' finds true love forever. I agree with the others my fave line is 'i can't promise i will heal you, but if you want to i will try' just such a sweet line, great song makes me cry =( |

it's basically about how he wants to do all the bad boy things such as, smoking, sex, cheating etc but he wants to be good obviously with the line 'lord make me pure.. but not yet' so he wants to be good but not until he's experienced life.
'I'm not perfect, but you don't mind that do you' that's my favourite line because everyone can relate to it, nobodies perfect, and they hope that they will be accepted by everyone for the way they are. Love this song! |

i agree this song is about his split from take that, saying he has no regrets about leaving the band, also the way it says 'everytime you told me to leave i just wanted to stay' and 'i felt so vacant you treat me like a child' because in an interview once he said that the band members used to see him as the childish band member and constantly asked him to leave, i reckon it's a play on that in the last verse. Also 'your far too short to carry weight' is aimed at gary barlow because he's short and obviously quite fat.. so basically saying he's short and fat. Such a bitter song but also so much to relate to in relationship-wise, so many different ways this song can be viewed but it's amazing.. one of my faves!! |

This song is just like rock dj, where he did some sort of rapping, and referring to 'shaking you body' like shake your rudebox. Also the way he says 'back to basics' as if he wants to go back to the way he was when he was on top. Really didn't like the song at first then it grew on me... |

I went to see robbie in milton keynes yesterday.. it was amazing!! i think rudebox is meant to be like your ass because he says 'shake your rudebox' and they were all shakin their asses nd stuff, and loads of the lyrics are wrong.. lol xx |
