I heard this song and the bit about Time is flying like an arrow and the clock hands move so fast they make the wind blow and it makes the pages of the calendar go flying out the window one by one Till a hundred years are on the front lawn and the old familiar things are mostly all gone but the old sombrero just keeps hovering on hovering sombrero hover on I could never understand why, but in four years, that has never left my memory. Fun fact: 50% of amercans believe in UFO's, aliens, intelligent life on other planets; therefore statistically one of the Jhons believes. This could very well be about UFOs &c. |

Please stop fighting and biting and PMS bitching, it is really annoying. I found this song was a good one when my girlfriend broke up with me. I thought I had gotten over her, but when I heard this song, I cried for hours, and realised I was lying to myself. Now I know I have gotten over her because I can listen to this song and not cry, but rather smile. I found someone new, and I love her to death. |

I think this is all nonsensical, but that's my opinion. I will grant you guys this: you metaphor is very persuasive. I can see this as being what he means. However, I don't see it that way. I think it is all nonsensical, and I like to sing little snippets to people when they apply. Once there was a gob of sticky-tack on my desk, and I said, "Whats that blue thing doing here!?" in the singsong tone. Reactions varied. |

Most songs are metaphors. Personal opinion: Rap is always traightforward, never hiding meanings. Anyone can figure it out. Rather simple. Sorry, personal opinion, as a response to those who say why does a song always have to be a metaphor. It is when the band intends it to be. I can hear the feeling of pain he put into this.
