When I hear this song, I picture Russell Crowe's secretary in A Good Year. Smart, thorough, sharp as a tack, picking up slack, good dividends. :P I also find it interesting that there is not hint that the singer would want to have a romantic relationship with this girl. Perhaps he just needs a secretary? :D |

Um, has anyone ever thought about whether or not this song was written for the exact purpose of being able to apply to a variety of different situations? I think that you can interpret it the way you want and not disrespect because the song is meant to be taken for whatever situation you're in. |

Hahaha! Well, looks like no one's reached what I thought the song meant...
I don't think it's a guy cheating on his girlfriend or anything having to do with something that serious. I believe that it's a song about an adolescant guy who is first experiencing the feelings...um, that a guy has for a girl. I think that part about "I'm goin straight to hell" is just there because he feels so guilty about the thoughts that are creeping into his head, the way he looks at this girl, the feelings that she's inspiring. It's all so new that it feels wrong, and he just feels incredibly insecure about himself. I believe that's all that's going on... |
