JOK3R, i agree that the album has gone a bit softer and all, but lol its not emo. emo is wearing weird isosceles fringes and singing/screaming/crying about doom and gloom and breaking up and the associated heartache..i dont think NFG are turning emo, they are one of the few bands out who havent sold out to that trend. by contrast, this album is overall a very positive take on life...thats what i think anyway. um i thought the video was an extended metaphor for the relationship b/w the guy and girl. they think their in love but as they get to know each other more (and ironically put more clothing on), they realise that they werent meant to be after all.. haha i dunno if that made any sense but meh its late |

such an awesome song. my interpretation: two young people madly in love at the start of the relationship, talking about staying together forever etc. yet when the intial attraction settles, they realise they werent meant for each other and go their separate ways.. thats my opinion anyway, based on the lyrics and video. cheers, amante |

yeah awesome aussie song about a guy who served his country in Nam, and returned to a society that is ignorant and unappreciative of the efforts of the vets. they werent hailed as heroes, as soldiers were in previous wars, and they struggle to get on with life after the war. he's getting older, and still hasnt regained any direction in his life |

I reckon this song is about a doomed relationship. The girl has become distant from him, and the guy is in denial about it all, and is trying to convince himself that the relationship will survive. deep down he knows its a lie, and that it is only inevitable that they wont last. and he knows that he has the power to end the relationship but doesnt. awesome song, NFG have really matured since Nothing Gold Can Stay. NFG kick ass |
