When you love someone so much and you're not sure that they understand or even feel the same it consumes you. I find this song so sad, i can relate to it, like so many others, when you want nothing else than to be with this person, the lines "its late i'm afraid you might leave" cling to me especially........oh, why can't my boy love me like i love him, is so distracting :( |

"There is no right way or wrong way/You just have to live/And so I do what I do and at least I exist/What could mean more than this?"............when i first heard those words i was speechless for about 5 minutes, its so true.......if its harder to change the way you live than to live that way, why change, and why feel bad about not really wanting to. This is such a cynical song because it sets out the way things are, honestly and with no beleif in the possibility of impovement of this situation. its the truth. |

this song conveys the two sides of the situation here, he's happy his friends got a girlfriend and is cleaning up his act cos its making jaimme a better person: "he aint punching walls anymore", but at the same time he's missing the way things were, even though he didn't necessarily like it: "the things i promised not to do with you today/i sure need to tonight" I find this song really sad, its sort of sacrificial, i can see its good that things are working out for you but i'm sad that you've changed because it means you're drifting away, but its not my place to say. |
