| Queens of the Stone Age – Sick, Sick, Sick Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| The best shave money can buy. | |
| Charlotte Gainsbourg – 5:55 Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Its about staying up late (based on the video, staying up late with a lover), and then just passing time drifting and thinking at 5:55, when its to late to go to bed (and end what happened last night) but to early to start a new day. | |
| Shiny Toy Guns – Le Disko Lyrics | 19 years ago |

I think its about clubs where the girls are all hot, but wont go home with any guys. but really, who cares what the song is about? that video is hot. |

| Brand New – Millstone Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Even with that it would still work. He was doing random people, not really worrying about what their intentions were, whereas before he clamored to be an object of someones affection and not simply lust. | |
| Brand New – Millstone Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
Using the Matthew biblical reference, does anyone else see this song to be about feeling guilt because hes been having sex with multiple people? I see that because of the I used to care, I was being careful. Made sure I showed it to those that I love. I used to sleep without a single stir, 'Cause I was about my father's work. part. As in, he used to care and not be so loose, and he slept well because he didnt have to worry about things involved with sex (pregnancy, disease, jealousy and or drama involved with multiple partners finding out about each other). next up I used to know the name of every person I kissed. Now I made this bed and I can't fall asleep in it. shows that he is forgetting who he shares intimacy with, and its all his fault and he must own up to it. Finally, he asks someone close to him to help him by going out with him, knowing full well he already has killed his innocence and thus he knows he has no integrity in the other persons eyes in this text Throw me that lifeline, The ship of fools I'm on will sink. A millstone around my neck Be my breath, there's nothing I wouldn't give. Never hit the brakes there's no time to save him, he's run out in the street anybody know his name? I think I recognize him sure it's him? running from that mistake |

| Death from Above 1979 – Dead Womb Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| This song is such a headbanging song, from beginning to end. So much energy, its too bad they had to split up after only one full release in the US. | |
| Senses Fail – Buried A Lie Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
this is their third album, counting their nationally released EP (it has 9 tracks i believe, so really its a short full length.) Anyways, i find it interesting that all these bands who are becoming popular are trying to write albums with messages. Green Day, Senses Fail, and i also hear that My Chemical Romance's new album is one big message as well. |

| Fall Out Boy – Start Today (Gorilla Biscuits cover) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Skankin Pickle provides amuch better cover than this. but the gorilla biscuits original is always going to be the best version of this song. | |
| Senses Fail – All the Best Cowboys Have Daddy Issues Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Or it could be about suicide. This whole album is about losing faith, and then searching for a reason to live. The rapture starts the album off with the singers revelation that he doesnt believe in good, followed by disgust (sick or sane). Then the song shrak attack comes on, which discusses how the singer goes through therapy and it doesnt help him. He becomes more and more lost in life (lost and found). Finally, his girlfriend ( his last symbol of faithfulness) decides to leave him. he promises to pray if she stays, but she leaves. then this song is a drunken series of thouhts to himself, finally concluded by him climbing up to the roof, counting back from ten, and jumping. the album closes with the singers final thoughts and observations as he dies. just because a lost episode has the same title doesnt force the song to directly relate to lost. | |
| Senses Fail – The Rapture Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| the ultimate loss of faith song. He trusts in God, follows his teachings blindly, but comes to the realization that the Bible isnt really matching up with his life. He realizes he won't be saved, and that there is no bigger force in his life. so he leaves his cross and stops going to church ("i won't kneel at your altar"-a reference to communion) because he knows its just a big "magic show". He "gets off his knees" (reference to praying) and does what he wants in his life. | |
| OutKast – Ghetto Musick (feat. André 3000) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| also hes denouncing cookie cutter rap. "all competing in vain for the same lame fame" and the shit you make is killing me and my my ears and my peers" | |
| Daft Punk – The Prime Time of Your Life Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| that video was wierder than technologic. but i think its related to the song, the song is saying don't waste the best days of your life, go out and live, and if you'll remember, the girl flipped through the tube and everyone was dead, and her parents were all dead. those people i guess just weren't living life. | |
| Eminem – Kim Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
The Freak is completely right. rap isnt gun toting gangsters who do crack all the time. however, what rap do you see on television or played on the radio other than rap that promotes this kind of image? it takes a lot of effort to write a rap or hip hop song thats creative and original these days, and unfortunately many people who are successful at creating hip hop songs that are both creative and original are generally pushed under the carpet because they arent this socially accepted image. it happens all the time in almost every genre in music. i'm more of a rock fan, but it happens there as well. MTV and FUSE are killing music and replacing it with social, economic and racist sterotypes that everyone accepts and buys, simply because it is on TV. to finish up, listen around before you go out and buy lil jon or e-40 or anyone else. im sure you will find a hip hop artist who is ten times better than them but still an underground artist. |

| I Am Ghost – Pretty People Never Lie/Vampires Never Really Die Lyrics | 19 years ago |

fuse doesnt really play indie bands either. maybe for like half an hour. this band is extremely awesome, and thus should never appear on MTV. epitaph is doing a very good job of picking up bands....keep up the good work. as for the song, the last couple of stanzas rock. switching up the whole rythm with screaming. awesome. |

| My Chemical Romance – I'm Not Okay (I Promise) Lyrics | 19 years ago |

|
| Bloc Party – She's Hearing Voices Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| at the end, when he is tearing up posters he is never alive, it could be a reference to older mental hospitals...when somebody got checked into these homes in the early-mid 1900's, their family and friends would disown them for fear of humiliation. literally, they would take down and hide pictures, take apart rooms, etc. | |
| The Matches – Chain Me Free Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I think its about cheating. this girl is hanging out with some guys, one of which she is going out with. and they have a go with each other, but she starts liking the singer, and he doesnt want to have anything to do with her. so hes avoiding her, telling her shes too old and not calling her. the singer just wants to be permanently free from her, thus "chained" free. | |

| Cartel – Honestly Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
haha. the video makes me think its about a myspace relationship. and its a gradual progression. "Please don't mind what I'm trying to say cause I'm, I'm being honest When I tell you that you You're part of the reason I'm so set on the rest of my life Being a part of you You tell me what you think about being open, About being honest with yourself"-thats one of those wierd creepyish comments people leave on your pictures. "Well don't waste time getting to the point, cause I'm, I'm patiently waiting For your next phone call, your next excuse for losing sleep again Tell me what you think about being open, About being honest with yourself"-now hes on the phone and hes asking questions about her. "How can we resolve this now We let it go, and wonder how This can ever be the same Can never be the same"-but theynever met, they "let it go." and then the chorus and the end of the song describes how he still wants to meet her. very good song. |

| Morrissey – How Can Anybody Possibly Know How I Feel? Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| i think its a big middle finger to critics and people who over analyze his work....like the people who think every song of his is about his sexual orientation/struggle. | |
| Brand New – Guernica Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
mental- yes. guernica was a painting by picasso expressing the torment felt by the civilians in guernica spain during the period in which hitler tested some new bombing techniques (incendiary bombing, carpet bombing, and civilian terror bombinb) obviously, the song was written with this torment in mind, his grandfather being diagnosed with cancer and he not being able to do anything about it. |
