OK my interpretation.. even tho i think i agree with alot of you clarity.. sumthing that becomes clear.. therefor a moment of clarity would be when you realise that life starts to become clear to you.. even if you've had a rough patch in your life sumhow for a that moment it doesn't matter because everything is making sense.. even if its for a short period of time, an extremely valuable moment. so the first few lines "I worry, I weigh three times my body" "I worry, I throw my fear around" shows how before his moment of clarity, he has had this rough patch or sumthin happen to him that has pretty much made him feel like crap or sumwhere along those lines. lol "But this morning, there's a calm I can't explain, the rock here has melted, only diamonds now remain" this could say, he woke up one morning and just realised that watever he has gone thru (im guessing sum sort of relationship) has become clear to him, and even tho he may have not felt at ease with the situation its starting to make sense and not bother him at all.. as as for sayin the rock has melted, it's like saying the rock between his emotions has gone away and the "diamonds" meaning sumthing precious, valuable has now been brought forward to him.. and hes feeling it. feeling the value of wat has happend to him, seein the goodness of it.. if that makes sense. the last two lines of the song "and I will waste no time, remembering our life together" i feel as if hes talkin bout a relationship, so after feeling this moment of clarity he realises that the troubles that hes gone through with someone, were worth it no matter how crappy it made him feel, he believes it doesnt matter because he felt such a valuable moment. there comes a time in your life when you feel as tho nothing is goin to get better, but then when you feel this moment (its like an epiphany..) you then realise its all worth it, because its such a good feeling to have. ahh i feel if you somehow understand these few lines of the song, the rest seems to fall into place.. i believe its a really touching song.. hats of to john :) |
