I would say he speaks his opinion, and I think it is pretty neglecting to say that they are just stupid things, since he has a political message in many of his songs, that in his eyes are true.
And there are many places here where lyrics not written by the artist is on the artist page, of various reasons, IME... |

And who said it has to be? Do they even try?... I would say that the idea of the first hip-hop was to deliver a message without to much complications, and well even if Kanye West might not always write the most serious lyrics, they are kinda fun to listen at. Which in my opinion cannot be said about many of the major hip-hop artists of these times... |

| Bruce Springsteen – The Ghost Of Tom Joad Lyrics

I would say that the term New World Order is connected to the way the world has turned since the times the book Grapes of Wrath, which is the main theme in this song, was written. I would say he mean that the new world order is the place where you got be someone to mean something, not just be you, and you can't survive as a sole farmer. All of the lyrics match with the book, I would say with the talk of the preacher, and his goodbye to his mom which is described in similar words as it is in the book.
I would say this is about a modern Tom Joad.
And read the book, it is really good:) And junips version as well, if you can get hold of it. |
