of Montreal – Wraith Pinned to the Mist (And Other Games) Lyrics 19 years ago
I hate all of you who wish this wasn't on the Outback Steakhouse commercial. With out that, I would have never even heard of this song, or this band, I love outback for introducing me to this wonderful band.

Why do people think this song is sad? It is freaking hilarious. Sure, it is a slower song, but it is just a random funny song to me. Funny name too.....

Poor. Poor Rapala......
I think you should get a life.
1. You are attacking my views.
2. It was a joke, Wether they are gay or not, I don't care.
3. And I wasn't over analyzing on anything, I actually took it quite as he said it, rather lyterrally.
4. And you shouldn't be so mad at my views, you seem rather upset that I am calling them gay.
5. And yes, compared to you, I could be alot stupider.
-Thank you for your comments.

The Black Eyed Peas – Pump It Lyrics 20 years ago
Does anyone know if they STOLE Misirlou, or if they actually had permission from dick dale? Either way, I am mad at the situation. Everytime I hear this song, I think "Freaking sweet, Misirlou!" "Only to remember that it is on the crap station my sister is listening too, and that it is the murdered form of Misirlou. It does't sound close to it, it IS it. Why does rap steal so much, like Ice Ice Baby's bass line was from underpressure, than Kashmir's rift in the one rap song that was in Godzilla. The only people who like this are the brainless MTV people who follow whatever the heck it says, and who have never heard of Misirlou.

Big & Rich – Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy Lyrics 20 years ago
This is my girlfriends favorite song, but what do I think about it, I think it is about gay cowboys that are in the closet, or in denial. They sing

And the girl’s say
Save a horse ride a cowboy
Everybody says
Save a horse ride a cowboy

Ok, what does this mean? They already specify that all the girls say “Save a horse ride a cowboy” so why would they need “Everybody says”? This means that the guys say it too. Later on in the chorus it says “riding up and down Broadway” (which tends to be a glamorous place, with shows that might be “open minded”, not something a manly southern man would admit bet at) “riding up and down Broadway on my old stud Leroy”(Here, Leroy is the name of his gay partner, which is commonly mistaken for his horse, as he “rides”, has sex with, in the hotels near the Broadway street.

Other parts that are not in the chorus also give it away. In the last line right before the first chorus, they say “this town will never be the same”, after he buys everyone in the bar a drink. This means that he is getting everyone drunk to lessen the affect and surprise after he comes out of the closet, which will have the whole town talking and rumors going around (making it not the same).

In the next group right after the first chorus, he states that he doesn’t care about the girls, who are drinking, and that he wouldn’t trade his gay lover (Leroy) or is cars, or his freak parade (the part about the freak parade is where I think he is in denial, calling homosexuals, freaks, and gays have had marches, or “parades”) and goes further into denial with saying he is the only straight person, John Wayne, who is considered to be manly in the western movies he plays in (he is retaliating saying everyone else is, but not him)

In the final group of lyrics, these are spoken, and he states that he is drunk, and is trying to go as far as he can with the woman. He is still in denial, as he needs to get drunk to have any attraction towards a girl and is just trying to prove he isn’t gay. But, she sees that his cowboy reputation (where cowboys tend to be romantic men) isn’t real, and that he likes men, so he wants “salvation” from her so she doesn’t tell, and he ends up closing the deal with only singing her Willie Nelson songs.

I have nothing against gay people by the way.
