MGMT – The Youth Lyrics

They should play this song when the youth destroys the Illuminati. |

The White Stripes – The Union Forever Lyrics

Lyrics straight from CK, but I also interpret them as being about a failed marriage or relationship.
The Union Forever = being married forever. The girl promised it, but decided to get a divorce. It was untrue. |

Cake – Haze Of Love Lyrics

I first heard this song ages ago when I was young, and the words never really meant much to me, now about 10 years later they strike a chord deep within me. I wish I had the ignorance of emotion that I had 10 years ago when I was younger. Great song. |

Just popped in Pinkerton for the first time in years and it makes me quite sad because Weezer used to be really good. |

Dr. Dog – Worst Trip Lyrics

It has to be about the worst drug trip. In the first verse he is tripping and just staring at the TV, doing nothing productive. In the second, he is tripping while driving to work. Both would not be very enjoyable haha. |

Dr. Dog – Mirror, Mirror Lyrics
|
Great song, I'll take a stab at what it means.
It seems like in the first two verses the narrator is depressed about the end of a relationship/or even life in general. They're adding up their problems and then saying they no longer see their reflection in the mirror. Tying ribbon to the bone could be them tying a weight to them so they'll sink in the water.
In the third verse the narrator seems to change to someone else, and they're talking to the person who drowned in the river.
That's just my rough interpretation. |

He's waiting for the girl to acknowledge him and show interest, but she won't, and he doesn't want to wait for her anymore, yet still finds himself waiting. This song is amazing live. |

Dr. Dog – Easy Beat Lyrics

"a watch with a liar's degree/they tell us time and time again, it's now or never" -- I take it to mean that time isn't necessarily always fleeting; maybe even a live in the now message saying to not worry about trying to allot time to various life milestones. |

Jack White – Never Far Away Lyrics
|
Such a heartbreaking song, but very good. It is from the "Cold Mountain" soundtrack, so it is safe to say it is about a Civil War soldier writing home to his wife/lover during the battles. He is just wondering if she will still love him after all of his time away, or if she will think he is dead and move on. It is a very good song, and is even relevant now when you're away from someone you love for awhile. |

Pete sang this song in the "Chicken Shack Sessions". It is indeed Carl on the "Up The Bracket" version. |

The Raconteurs – Old Enough Lyrics
|
The violin/fiddle (whatever you want to call it) gives this song a country feel, but it is counter-acted well with the guitar work of White/Benson. This song is really catchy, too, especially the beginning.
I think it is an obvious song, about a girl who is mentally young and not mature enough to hand the world and/or true love because they are living blindly. |

The Raconteurs – Hold Up Lyrics

This is a great rock-out song. "Hold up" stirs up thoughts of The White Stripes' "Little Room".
Good rock riffs and catchy lyrics. I like this song a lot. |

Arcade Fire – Intervention Lyrics

"Singing, “Hallelujah,” with the fear in your heart"
That is the best line of the whole song. Adds to the probability that it is an anti-religion or even anti-Bush song. |

This song is awesome, and the guitar solo is amazing! What the hell is this crap about hating the new sound? People who say that suck. Grow up, you can't have the same sounding songs over and over again idiots. |

Marvin Gaye – What's Going On Lyrics

"enough about Tupac and Biggie, who stood for violence. "
Obviously you haven't listened to Tupac very much.
Anyhow, great song by Marvin Gaye -- one of the best voices ever! |
