underrated Corrs song. this has always been one of my favourites, and I never really get tired of listening to it. This is about a woman who is asking to be understood on a deeper, emotional level. beautiful music .the piano is brilliant. |

this is a cute song. I can see the scene in my head with Donovan talking to this 'shy girl'..asking her questions and such, and she's just staring blankly at him. |

I agree with poisonedfan85 about the description of the sound of the song. when I first heard the song, there was just something about that minor chord progression at the beginning of the song that made me want to continue listening....for some reason, this song reminds me of Michelle Philips from the mamas and the papas...probably because I spent too many nights listening to this song while reading her autobiography 'california dreamin'. |

| Duncan Sheik – Far Away Lyrics

one of my favourites on 'Phantom Moon'..as the song goes further along, Duncan's voice becomes more persistent in the interpretation of steven's lyrics. It's at that moment, that I usually cry. |

| Duncan Sheik – Little Hands Lyrics

the ending part of the song is the most powerful. there's just something sad about his hope for something more. I think Duncan portrayed that excellently in the way he delivered the vocals :
Little hands, open smile
I'm glad we got to talk for a while
I feel O.K. yeah I'm feeling better
I'll let it go but I'll never say never
It's O.K. yeah, it's O.K. |

I love the bossa nova influence in this song. beautiful guitar. And it's obvious that this song is about unrequited love. |

underrated song. Everything about this song, the music, the lyrics is powerful, and the best of Duncan's vocal range and ability can be found in this song. |

I agree Jillian04, it's also one of my favourites on the self titled. I remember reading an interview in which Duncan said the lyrics to this song were written about a past life that he was subconsciously remembering. It's a very chilling song, but with an underlying ,melancholic beauty. |

there is a moment in the middle of the song where all you are listening to is the instrumental with Duncan's floating harmony and soaring notes. this is pure bliss. |

| Duncan Sheik – She Runs Away Lyrics

I agree with Chloe11. The second verse is the most powerful one in the song.
I mystified the simple life
I covered up with consciousness
I saw myself and broke it down
'Til nothing more was left
I identify with these lyrics in a way I can't put into words. analysing can be a good thing and a bad thing.
this is a very beautiful song, but I think my favourite version is the one that was released on the radio aka the version of the song that goes with the video. The tempo is still mellow, but it's somewhat faster, and there is more percussion. |

this song is absolutely flawless. the ideal place to listen to this song would be while you're sitting at the edge of the lake or river on a cold day. It makes me cry and teh lyrics speak a lot of what I've experienced. |

| Duncan Sheik – The Winds That Blow Lyrics

|
I think this song is about a person's individuality and memory remaining in different places and people. the imprint of their life and their personality. With that said, this song makes me long for a time that never was, and the song is also sad in a sort of way, but more tears of happiness than tears of sorrow. |

great comment thecolorsblue, I couldn't agree more. the part that always makes me cry is the last few lines with duncan singing 'this is how my heart heard', his voice fading in and out with the orchestral strings. *sigh* |

correct, correct
this song is one of my favourites on the album. especially the first verse. and if I must say, Duncan's vocals are flawless in this song --" a smooth and easy ride" great harmony and bass line on that line. |

one of duncan's often overlooked and underrated songs. this song is one of my favourites. the best lyrics of the song are:
And I try to realise
That I needn't look
Any further
The whole of
The universe
Is plain to see
And I try not to rely
On another world
Or the future
The whole of
The universe
Is a mystery |

I agree, Barunesusa, this song is about unrequited love. I have definitely been there, and this song is a comfort to me, and truly describes my emotions perfectly. There are two other versions of this song --the french (La rose des vent) and the indonesian version (Kembali)..Kembali is my favourite interpretation. her vocal range is used to the fullest in 'Kembali'. |

The lyrics of this song convey the animosity and hatred, discrimination in the world. In a lot of ways, we try to reach spiritual truths, and we try to unite as human beings, but preconceived notions and presumptions get in the way |

this is the song that first introduced me to Anggun, and after hearing it, I became a devoted fan. It's really disappointing that she's not well known in the U.S. besides this song, but I guess that just means she is our (the fans) best kept secret. |
