I take this song to mean that he and a girl were in a relationship in the past but they have broke up and now she wants a friends with benefits type situation but he knows that won't work and they either have to be FRIENDS, LOVERS, or NOTHING like the title. "Now that we are over". And then when he says that "you whisper come on over, cause your two drinks in"...and just the fact trying to keep the love alive. He tells her to give it up on trying to have some sort of romantic relationship now that there actual relationship is over. |
