I cannot believe that there are no comments for this...
I believe that this is just an attempt by Freddie to make a joke, one last joke, as he died shortly after Innuendo was released... |

Hate to break it to you , but Freddie wasn't Christian, he was Zorastian...
Also, this, along with Seven Seas of Rhye and Lily of the Valley, is about his childhood fantasy land called Rhye.
I believe that this is saying, "I've grown up now, and my land [Rhye] has fallen apart, I cannot stay in it any longer." |

I am sooooooooooo happy no one (incorrectly) linked this to AIDS... Almost all of the other Queen songs I have seen have a mention somewhere.
All this song is saying is, "Do what you want to, and become better at it!" |

| Queen – Tie Your Mother Down Lyrics

May was playing the guitar riff one morning and singing this line "Tie your mother down," which he considered a joke, but Freddie encouraged him, and he finished writing it, thus the song! Really has no deeper meaning... |

| Queen – Was It All Worth It Lyrics

As Freddie said countless times, there is no deeper meaning, they were just writing a song...
Seriously, thought, I think this is a song about Queen, not Freddie. I believe that it is merely them asking, "Were all the sacrifices we made and freinds we lost worth what we are today?" And, as said above, they answer it with, "Yes, it was a worthwhile experience. / It was worth it ."
So, I think they are merely trying to see of they should have done something else, gone on with graphic design/astronomy (I forget the other two's majors, but etc.) and forgotten about music, however, in the end they say, "Yes, we did what we liked, and it really was worth it." |
