| I think that this song is definently about a relationship. The workin, ect, ect, part is just wanting to be with your bf/gf. Now, i think that it is about a relationship where they don't hide anything or keep secrets, thus an "ideal" relationship. "Never said it was sunshine, but you took it all the time" is saying that the truth isn't allways good (sunshine = good!) but you took it anyways. Then the next part is just showing how good it accually feels to be truthful with your gf/bf. | |

Imo, if you are with the whole cd leads into stuff, and has one main central idea, paradox is probably there. However, if you want to go with something completely different, look at it this way: Kids with guns are like the young gangsters and such. The media is portraying things like this as "acceptable" or such, and by "street desire", i think its like saying that kids want to be cool and such. Turning "us" into monsters would be like the adults revolting on the kids. We become monsters by not letting kids be like this, and having to deal with the "kids with guns" in sometimes fatal ways. So i feel like some of the other lyrics in the song deal with the thinking and how they (gorillaz) feel about those type of ppl. Idk though...just what came to my mind at first...and I thought it sounded good |
