Great song. |

Could be coincidence, but Rancid and the Beatles both have songs about murders and Maxwell. (Possably what Hades was talking about?) Maxwell Murder and Maxwell's Silver Hammer. They might be about the same guy, or Rancid was elaborating on the Beatles song. Either way, great song. |

I don't think this song is about the absurdity of anarchy in general, but more about the absurdity of places like Hot Topic and Spencers "selling" anarchy to twelve year old kids hell bent on rebeling in a relatively socially acceptable way. I've got to agree with Mike on that. Now Joe, why is it absurd to be idealistic? Simply because anarchy is not possable at this present moment in this country doesn't mean it's not something to strive for. I supoe this is a bad forum for political debate, but I was just wondering. |

I mostly agree with gun left behind. Also, listening to static (white noise) is a way to help you sleep. Another thing. When you're sleep deprived everything seems to be more pressing, more urgent, and closer than it accually is. Important things, like death, and going crazy. I think he's talking from the state you're in when you haven't slept in weeks.
I love their music, but don't know too much about them. Can anyone tell me where the reoccuring themes of hospitals and the artic come from? Not in this song, just in general. They seem to mention those two things in a lot of their songs. Thanks. |
