Black Sabbath – It's Alright Lyrics 14 years ago
Sounds to me like a view on life. How to handle it, because life is something to be dealt with and not just lived. At times at least.

The first verse, to me, seems to be about seeing other people looking for things they hold so important but really are not fundamental to true happiness in life.

"Where to go, and where to see" Determining ones purpose in life/what they want to do or see perhaps?

"It's always been this way and it can never be." A statement towards the possibility of people, things, or just how things are changing or not changing.

The rest sounds like advice from the writer, as he see's life.

Either way you interpret it, it's a great song. Very unlike most of the things Black Sabbath did before.

Ozzy Osbourne – Facing Hell Lyrics 18 years ago
This song sounds more like an observation of Christianity. Try and take a look at it in that point of view, and with an open mind. He might be speaking for humanity in general when he says he faces hell. Because with a path so long and a gate so narrow how can we all fit in?

Sounds like a love song.

Lordi – Blood Red Sandman Lyrics 19 years ago
I think it is about Jack the Ripper, though the video really doesn;t seem to have anything to do with Jack the Ripper. I think it's just a generic scary murderer type.

The murder killed many young people, the people killed him and pray he never returns, but he does return and he kills some more. In the video the kids in the old house turn on a tape player, and then he shows up. Probably trapped in the song that thing plays.

GWAR – War Party Lyrics 19 years ago
Mostly about how the current government is blindly rushing to war, hence the name War Party. Party being a political group.

Blood staining the desert sand talking about the fighting currently happening in Iraq. The song talks much about what they do and how they will pay, and even makes mention to the prison what is down in the one country where they made the prisoners get in a big naked pile. I don't keep up TOTALY on current events.

The blood running through their hands bit meaing the blood is on their hands and it's their fault. They probably being the government.

You put the gun to your shoulder
You put lead through a brain
You left bodies to molder
You spread havoc and pain
They will call you a hero
I call you an ignorant slave
Because before you died you acted surprised
So soon you were shown to your grave

The above refering to the actual soldier. They things they do. I think GWAR refers to the soldiers as ignorant slaves of the government.

There is more evidence and connections to be made but I would be repeating the same message.

Gorillaz – New Genious (Brother) Lyrics 19 years ago
The part where he says "They might prommis you, That the river aint deep" sounds like whoever he is speaking to is not street smart and they might run into wierdos on the street who will decive them.

Black Label Society – Dirt On The Grave Lyrics 19 years ago
It is, perhaps, about how the world is digressing so much in values or perhaps about war? I have not listened to it enough to give an accurate definition yet...

Black Label Society – Stillborn Lyrics 19 years ago
I can't say exactly what this song is all about but I think it may be in the realm of him having a shitty life or his mother not loving him but he was "Still Born". I could be wrong be it's still just a thought.

Ozzy Osbourne – Dreamer Lyrics 19 years ago
How can any of you say Ozzy has lost his heavyness? Gets me through, Facing hell, Junkie, can you hear them? are all pretty heavy songs I would say. What is the matter with you people. You hear one song that is soft and not so heavy and you freak out like you are afraid of a little change. Heavy metal/Classic Rock is not just really heavy songs and death. However contrary to the title of the genre it covers all aspects of life. Happy, sad, angry, mad, confused it covers it all. Whoever puts ozzy down as "Lost his talent" or "Was better in the early days" can kiss my ass and fuck off. You don't know anything, his style has not changed since Blizzard of Oz or even Black Sabbath. Get real.

Ozzy Osbourne – Can You Hear Them? Lyrics 19 years ago
This is song is, as stated by nmitchell1185 above, about Ozzy going near insane as he is misunderstood and confused. "I've lived so many lives and still I wonder why." Refering to the many personalities he feels he has taken since the start of his musical career. Though I feel he has been the same ol rockstar we all know and love since the begining. To say this song sucks is to openly admit you have -10,000 taste in heavy metal/classic rock. Go die alone somwhere.
He keeps refering to the voices in his head, duh...means he is slowly going nuts. You would too if you heard voices no one else could. Then the serene and slow part where he says he would never smile agian. Then he feels his family, friends, and even supportive fans (not you first two assholes) get him through the hard times.
