in this song there's a real quiet bit but if you listen carefully there's someone speaking in the background - Dan On the CD case there's a lot of words about the album that he wrote, everyones probably seen it.. but apparently that's what he says in that quiet bit. Really hard to hear though |

well most of the songs on the album are related to a murder. I think him coming otu of jail is spot on. "I'll probably ask for directions - ya never know. Take a left at the pass. Take another left past the lake. Don’t forget, read the signs." Getting directions because he's forgotten where to go " I guess I know you hurt." She hurts because he was in jail "I will be the same, still the man of many lies." He wants her back but knows he hasn't changed "Time away has simply left me down so I'll promptly ask for affection" He's been away for her so long he needs her again i think it also could be he's only dreaming it. or perhaps the fact that they can be together after being away for so long is his dream - and it can't be a reality? |

| this song is amazing. definitely the best song on the album, it finishes the album perfectly. i love the buildup, the way everything starts so softly but becomes so monumental in the end, and how it ties in with the Gentleman Caller. definitely inspiring, but not in a 'pump myself up sense' - just the fact that i can go out and face another day. | |

| this is just an amazing song - i agree with dougiecrystals - both want to be with each other - 'we are identical we both want the same thing' - but it just won't work. in the end though i think it seems like there's hope - 'you'll see this quite clearly' and 'it's a new beginning'. | |

i think this song contradicts itself, but that might be the purpose - the 1st 2 verses don't seem to fit with the rest of the song. maybe he had a bad relationship but its demise then led to a better one? Daniel says its about feeling 'content. Not just relationship-wise but in general. Feeling uber-lucky too' |

there's a bit where you can hear what seems to be a train/airport announcement in the background. that's wedding vows, ... 'til death do us part' is noticeable. i think its just about the effects a girl has on you - 'way to flood my headspace', 'i'd kill for you', even though you might never get her 'if you run you know that i'll give chase, but the chances are you'd lose you' |
