It may sound odd but this is the most beautiful love song ever! The verses play out the fights that a couple goes through. ya know the little thigns, or the big thigns, or whatever. All couples fight. The choruses however are where the true meaning rings through. He wants a love that always says im sorry, he wants a true love. To be able to push someone aroudn and treat them like crap and still know that no matter what they'll come back to you and youll apologize to them. Love is never having to SAY your sorry.....just knowing it. |

I think this is weezer's most hearfelt song simply because it touches emotions that everyone has felt at some point. It's About getting sick of the game, of dating. Looking and looking and looking for THE ONE and then having it slip away. Maybe the "I did What My body told me too" could be a metaphor for the common issue of sex too soon. I have had many relationships fall apart because we took that step too soon and it ended in pain. Everyone is looking for the one to some extent when dating. Even if on the surface it may seem like a short relationship based on sex. This song reflects on the feelings of this love lost, no matter how strong of a love it may be. ~Pat |
