I also love how the "hell" corresponds with the "hot" in his feelings, and the "high water" corresponds with the "wet". Skettio, there's a name for that. Chiamus....as in the the greek letter chi, it looks like a cross and if you put the words like this: Hell High water Wet Hot Then you drew lines between the hell and hot because they correspond, and the high water and wet cos they correspond. |

"To all the nights that we forgot to get back home." I just wanted to share with you what this line means to me. I'm not trying to interpret what Alex was trying to say but what it makes me feel. My group at school consists of five of us. We are all best friends you know, spend quite a lot of time together out of school but of course we all have our own other friends. However we'd all pick each other over our other friends. Now one member of our group is very popular with other people. Lots of guys fancy her and she has lots of friends where she lives, in a village just outside of the city. Recently I have felt as if she spends a lot more time at evenings with them which is fair enough ebcause we can't all go down there that much. However I also feel as if maybe she's forgotten who's been there for her for so long and who has been her friend and "home" for longest. Recently aswell with these such people she has gone in town with them and weekends and gone to the cinema a lot. I'm not denying her the right to other friends. I am just saying So this is what this line means to me. How she has forgotten to come back to us for a while. I just thought I would share that with you all. |

"you want to be dressed in poetry but imagery doesn’t fit." Ok, ok this is about my third comment on this song but I just want to comment on those two lines above. This is very similar to one of my friends. She is very rich and very fake and she has hardly any problems that I am aware of. Obviously being very rich she can afford to shop at designer shops unlike me and some of my closest and most trusted friends. We were writing poems in English and myself and a friend of mine wrote pretty emotional stuff but thats just what came out. Once she read our poems she tried to turn having too many designer brands to choose from as an emotional struggle *pfft* and saying "Oh too many choices how could I ever decide these clothes I love so much" *has huge laughing fit* Anyway those two lines just reminded me of her because she knows that compared to me she has a very good life but she tries to make up terrible stuff and seem very emotional and poetic and sorry for herself. She really isn't. Thank you Shaant even though you might not have meant this in the same way as me thank you for making me be able to think "finally its not just me." |

Hmmm well I think this is shownit from two different views, reflecting each other. Firstly the prositute is trying to act like shes all confident with herself and doesn't care what anyone thinkgs like: "And if you want me then I guess I want you" but then really deep down she's so ashamed and I think some guy got her hooked on some kind of injectional drug and possible he even raped her ("Missing since 1983"(guy who raped her when she was young)"20 years of dirty needles Raindrops runnin' through my veins"(pretty obviously referring to drugs of some sort)) And then she got addicted to the drug and needed something to fund it and there was only one choice.
