theres something about this song that gets me. Its sends a really positive message out, to try things and dont be afraid to fail. Keep things in perspective, this is your life, you need to live it. Everytime I hear "wait til the dust setttttttleeeess", gets me everytime. |

So Im pretty torn on this song. I love linkin Park and I remember thinking that Mike should have had more solos to take his hip hop abilities to their extreme. Everything Ive heard from fort minor is pretty sick, all the songs got that lower key undertone to all of them topped with inteligent lyrics makes them the kind you can listen to over and over. The thing I kinda dont like about this song though, is how hard it seems they're trying to "fit into" the hip hop scene. The video is Mike going around getting props from all these sterotypical black hip hop bling bling ish. And now hes cussing in his songs, seems like hes trying to prove that he is hip hop, which he shouldnt because he is. Finally its hella arrogant. All about "I dont want the spot light and look how humble I am...... but let me just tell you that this is so natural for me and that I could do it all day with ease blah blah..." I just feel like he could produce something more meaningful, like hes almost degrading his ability. Anyone with me on this one? |
