| Relient K – Devestation And Reform Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
I think that this song is talking about our sinful nature. The title "Devestation and Reform" are talking about how we sin, feel remorse (devestation), and we ask for forgiveness and try to not sin again (reform). He talks about how it seems like he's born for devestation and reform. That's where our sinful nature as human's comes from. He talks about how we even when we are forgiven we're just "a shell of what I had when I first started." Meaning, before Adam first ate the apple. Since the original sin, we will never be without sin. I don't understand all of the individual lines, but that's what I gather from the whole song. |

| Five Iron Frenzy – Giants Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
I think that this song is talking about how money and the strong desire of it is destroying Christianity and simple freedoms of people. It is talking about how no one is noticing (When no one looks the clouds come rolling in) that big business is taking over small business and pushing God out of thte picture completely (See the rest of the first verse). The second verse is elaborating on how big businesses are pushing out small businesses and thus, taking away the people's freedoms (Oh don't you cry for the mom and pops,/Nothing but dry eyes for integrity's demise.) The integrity's demise part is saying that big businesses are corrupt and taking away our liberty to choose our own businesses. Corporate Darwinism is not saying that businesses are anti-Christian specifically. It's talking about survival of the fittest and the strong survive (i.e. the big businesses thrive while the small ones die). Adam Smith is basically the man who invented American economics. To say "This house is haunted by the ghost of Adam Smith" is to say that everything in the economy reflects him. Bottom line, this song is about how big businesses are pushing God outu of our society with their corruption and lust for money and worldy possessions. Meanwhile, no one notices and those who do notice don't care or do anything about it. |

| Sanctus Real – The Face of Love Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| This is definately my favorite song on the new cd. I would have to say that this song is all about how God is love above all. I was at their show during the Face of Love tour and Matt said that as he read his Bible more, he saw more and more that Jesus' reason for coming to earth was to serve. This song is all about Matt finding the love of God and trying to show that through his actions. | |
| Sanctus Real – I'm Not Alright Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I think that this song is more of a confession. It's almost like he is telling the world, "I may look like I'm doing alright, but I'm really not." It's all about forgetting the things in the world and realizing that we need to get closer to God. I feel this way a lot. These lyrics are amazing, along with the whole new cd. | |
| Sanctus Real – Inside Out Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
These lyrics are all wrong. There isn't even a Sanctus Real song called Inside Out. The song is Audience of One. Here are the real lyrics: Lord you see every part of me And I'm tired of feeling underground It's time to take this inside... And all my insecurity It always gets the best of me now. It's time to turn this thing around. It's time to turn this thing around. You and I will be alright If there's nothing more to come 'cause Lord I know I sing tonight for An audience of one. There's something new inside of me I'm overwhelmed by what I've found Time to take this inside... And all my insecurity I won't let it get the best of me now. Time to turn this thing around. It's time to turn this thing around. Far from these ordinary ways I'll stay So far from these ordinary ways I'll stay Yesterday is gone. |

| Relient K – Who I Am Hates Who I've Been Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I'm pretty sure that this song can relate to any Christian. We all fall short (Romans 3:23) and should be striving to get back to what God wants for us. I love this song. | |
| Relient K – The Truth Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I love this song so much. I love the sound, the words, the music, everything really. I struggle sometimes with whether God is really there. I know he is and I'm not on the verge of giving up my relationship with God, but it is so hard to believe it sometimes. This song just puts into words what I feel a lot. Thanks Relient K. | |
| Relient K – Breakdown Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
I don't think this song is referring to God because of the last two lines. He'll seek and destroy everything that I enjoy. But, I won't be the one he takes down. No, I won't breakdown. It may seem like God is destroying all of the things that we enjoy in this world, but he certainly isn't trying to take us down. |

| Relient K – Forward Motion Lyrics | 19 years ago |

I got evicted now i'm living on the street My spirits lifted.. oh wait, that wasnt me Too many turns have turned out to be wrong This time I learned that, i knew it all along I really like this part, especially the second line. Things get better in life and we feel better, but then we realize that it isn't us, it's God. |

| Relient K – The Only Thing Worse Than Beating A Dead Horse Is Betting On One Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
I think that this song isn't so much political and moreso using politics as a metaphor to Christians struggles in life. Politicians control our country, but politicians can't (or don't) listen to their heart, or else they won't get elected. And no matter what the law is, someone is going to pissed about it. Then it talks about opinions and how people have different opinions and even if the opinion is wrong, it can't be changed. I think that paper rock and scisors refer to choices that we make in life, how there are always pros and cons. Then, even with all of these problems, life will continue to go on, but we don't even know how long life is going to be (But you just can't be too sure How long this will last). We control all of these thoughts in our heads (we control the chaos in the back of our minds). We think that these problems are small, but they aren't (last three lines). Anyway, the world has all of these problems today and the only solution is God. He can fix these things and we can't do anything about them. |

| Relient K – Life After Death and Taxes Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Failure to Excommunicate is all about how he (or anyone) got "excommunicated" or rejected by the world or the church, but still found acceptance with God. I think this song is about how he got rejected and kept trying to find acceptance with the world. He couldn't find anything with the world (they cut me deep and let me dry until there was nothing left to bleed), but God forgave him for trying to do things on his own, forcing Matt to remember that "there's life after death and taxes." Great song. | |
| Relient K – Over Thinking Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I think that this song is about his struggle between liking a girl and loving God. I think it starts out with him thinking about how he lost this girl, but he still likes her. Maybe she wasn't Christian and Matt was too busy having fun with her to share Jesus with her (And your so out of touch Cause i'm so far behind). It means that she is out of touch with Christianity because Matt was so far behind in his faith and wasn't focusing on God. | |
| Five Iron Frenzy – Milestone Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| This is one of the greatest FIF songs, in my opinion. People make prejudices all of the time. We don't even realize it. We hear someone is from some state or some town or some country and we instantly think that we know everything about them. The truth is that too God, we are all the same (...to bleed the same red blood that I do) and that is what really matters. | |

| In high elevations, Aspen trees are the only broad leaf (non-pine) trees that can survive. They are very tall so that they get the most of the rain that does fall. | |
