When I first heard this song... I thought about the club scene. I feel like it's the same thing every single time. You go, drink a couple shots or have a couple drinks, dance, some guys hit on u and ask for ur number..(or if ur a guy, u hit on girls)... and then.. it just ends with u being really buzzed or drunk...really hungry..and then u are hungover the next day. You can get pretty sick of that scene if u do it very often. Everyone looks the same, the drinks are the same, there is no sincerity in this place. Just all for fun. It can get very repetitive. |

Is this song talking about a girl who has an eating disorder? maybe bulimia? I don't know, the part that made me think that was this: "Drinks only gin, says it's how to keep thin And she’s crying after every meal Lord you don’t know how you’re making me feel" And when he says you look older I can tell by your hands... when you are bulimic you do end up looking older after purging especially if you have been doing it for awhile because you get dark circles under your eyes, as well as a lot of other complications. Your hands can also get very dry... i think i read that somewhere. When he says in the first verse "how you've come back in style".. reminds me of how being really "thin" is in right now... especially what they portray in the media through celebs such as Nicole Richie, Lindsay, Keira. I mean, I guess the pressure for girls to be thin was always around, but especially these days... we see these pictures of stars looking so emaciated on the covers of magazines and on tv and I know a lot of girls do look up to them and want to look like that. Maybe this girl wants to get better...but it's a lot harder to actually follow through with the actions. It's hard for him to see her going through this, and he doesn't know what he can do to help her. There is nothing he can do or say to help her or heal her. He feels helpless and is saying "I just can't go on". I don't know...this is what I thought about when I heard this song. |

i can relate to this song... because im going through a personal struggle and this always encourages me. But.. i thought about it and i think he's talking about his music career. maybe? like.. "you said i should get professional help it always makes me cry... I know im just an amateur but i've gotta try"....maybe that was early on intheir music career.... ah i don't know that's what i suddenly thought of. |

Yes I agree with what everyone said. I recently went to one of their shows in California and it was awesome! I'm really surprised that Ozma aren't as big yet... They deserve more recognition. But they rock..and they are all really nice. |

I saw the AOL Sessions interview on Weezer and Rivers said he started playing a couple chords and started singing some words and somehow by the time he was finished he had this song. He said that for a lot of the songs on the Green Album this is what he did and when he looked back on it months after he wrote the songs they somehow made sense. I was hoping that he wrote this song on more of a personal level |

Reading about everyone saying this song is about a 'secret relationship' does make sense..but from the very first time i heard this song to now.. to me this song refers to two people who love each other so much that they are being cautious in their actions. They don't want to get themselves into anything to quickly..because it's "delicate" or it's like.. something special to them. it's kind of like.. it's better to wait for the right time. "We might kiss when we are alone When nobody's watching We might take it home We might make out when nobody's there It's not that we're scared It's just that it's delicate" well.. at least the first verse is what made me think of that explanation. |

yeah.. what a_perfect_sonnet said.. in the beginning a woman is talking in Korean. At the end of track 8, when "Pink Triangle" becomes "Falling For You" a woman speaking in Korean can be heard. She is saying “Which company makes this product?” The amplifier picked up some radio interference accidentally during recording. It was left in since it fit the Asian themes of the album. |

I love this song... and yeah like many of you have mentioned.. this song totally refers to the opera Madame Butterfly. "I told you I would return When the robin makes his nest" in the opera, i think Pinkerton promises Butterfly that he will come back when "the robins nest again" but he never kept his word..and she eventually kills herself in the end. |

I read somewhere that Rivers wrote this song during one of his depressing winters at Harvard about one of his fan letters that he received. I think 1995. "They don't make stationery like this where I'm from So fragile so refined" I don't know if you guys have seen asian stationery, whether from Japan or Korea but it looks a lot different than stationery in America. it's really cute. Oh and i know when Pinkerton first came out it was labeled to be a major failure but it's considered to be a great album now. i heard it went platinum.. it sold like over 700,000 copies. |
