seedplanter was merely comparing famine to sacrifice... both are losses. in either case, will you still love God when you've lost everything you once held dear? or will you get lost in the world trying to gain back the things that wont matter if there is no tomorrow? then it's God saying he had loved the son at his darkest (probably sin), something His son should be able to do (remain loving God) when he loses his harvest. i guess no one knows what 'let the dead bury their own dead' means? |
