| Floater – Endless I Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| This song is so powerful. It's about life and death. I want it played at my funeral. | |
| The Magnetic Fields – I Think I Need A New Heart Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I think it's about a breakup. As usual. | |

Alright check it out you simple minded dumb-fucks. Does Isaac Brock even have any kids? Mmm I don't think so. Still think it's a love-song? Why would he refer to TWO people as "we were ALL"? I don't know what the song is about, it's probably about nothing, but here's my interpretation. The children are the bands' songs (what else does he create? what else could be considered "children"?), and they've "named them after" shit that they know nothing about (ie "towns" they've never even been to). "And we were laughing at the stars..." Does anyone else get the double meaning here? I guess not. Stars could mean celebrities. They were laughing at the stupid sell-outs, while their "feet clung tight to the ground", but low-and-behold it turns out they were just "dumb dumb dumber etc" (because guess what, sell-outs make more money). There's more but you can probably figure it out if you read the lyrics with this sort of theme in mind. |

| Baby Bash – Baby I'm Back Lyrics | 20 years ago |

Basically this song is about an egotistical guy who left a girl for whatever reason (another girl/moved away/thought he was too good for her) and is now back to tell her that he's the best she'll ever get. I don't think this is a romantic song at all. It's more like a song about an incredibly unhealthy relationship. Possibly the girl has low self-esteem but not enough to actually tell him in a straight-forward way to leave her alone but also not enough to just accept him back into her life. So he has to prove himself by making himself look like some sort of Cassanova. It has a fun sound but it is definitely not an uplifting song. I just feel bad for the girl he's singing to. And by the way, bleeehh "Now I'm back, let me hit it." Maybe Baby Bash was trying in a double-meaing sort of way to say he was back but it definitely didn't make me want to listen to MORE of his songs. |
