Perhaps it's being the offspring of a biker and "biker bitch"... But I absolutely find the verse: All I need is my leather One t-shirt and two socks I'll keep my hands warm In your pockets, and you can use The engine block to be the most romantic thing. |

| Perhaps the word cleavage has a dual meaning, but the most obvious is the cleavage shown in the low cut shirts that start appearing in the summer. I am a sexually active woman and heartbroken women are not lusty creatures. Yes, women can be sex addicts, but it is common knowledge the topic dominates the male mind much more. Why can't it be from a males point of view? It makes it that much more interesting and beautiful. | |
| CocoRosie – Madonna Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| They sing a lot of songs about religion that are meant to be taken sarcastically, but I don't believe this is. Mary is a figure in christianity that you can't really make fun of. Sure you can doubt the virginity aspect, but you can't not feel for the woman who's child was taken from her. Who was meant to "save the world". I believe they're giving a human persona to the mother of christ. That she was an individual with feelings. | |
| CocoRosie – Not for Sale Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
This can be taken many ways. The promiscuous girl fell in love. She's taken. or my favorite as a more feminist song; The girl won't be treated like a whore any longer. Just leave her be. It's satire saying "leave me on the corner" she's still who she is, but she's not for sale anymore. You can't push her around anymore. |

| I'm near positive this song is from a male's perspective. Summer in the city mean cleavage. There are so many lusty distractions, but he's still lonely for the love they had. And the hard on refferances also kind of scream it. "I felt like coming but I also felt like crying" No way does she NOT mean that as "cumming". There's the castrated guys who get angry when they don't get a hard on from a beautiful women, and then there's him who just misses his girl or ex girl so much he can't do it. "I felt like cumming but I also felt like crying" That's a gorgeous line. A guy so lonely that he goes to a protest to be physical but at the same time the lust factor can not register because he's so heartbroken. | |
| Regina Spektor – Folding Chair Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I believe at least the line "I've got a perfect body, but sometimes I forget" is a very feminist line. I love it. | |
| Alanis Morissette – Front Row Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
"I'm in the front row with the popcorn. I get to see you close up." She finally get's to see him for what he is, she's so close. "I'm mad at myself for being around your jekyl and hydeness" |

| Regina Spektor – December Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| I think this song is about the breaking up of marriage. The nastiness of divorce. | |
