Ok, well im going to take a swing at the meaning of this song, and to the lyric correction-nazis, ive edited the lyrics. Now, this song could have a metophoric meaning, but I think it can be taken literal. To summarize, I think this song is about MCR's fanbase and society, how things are blamed on music, because its easier to point at someone else and say "he did it" then judging your own self. I think the chorus part, is taken from the fans point of view, how some are going through horrible times and they rely on the band to help things get back to normal for them. :O I just noticed that B12! has a bit of the same rythym in some places. This song is good, not the best not its good :) MCR keep getting better.. This song is kinda, self-explantitory. I guess it ties into the patient story, with the patient thinking about his past, death and afterlife, he could be thinking about his own past, and the events that took place when he was a teenager. Drugs, not fitting in, that stuff. Its kinda like "I'm Not Ok" , but a ton better... I'm Not Ok, is to me MCR's worst song. This one is good. Teenagers scare!...the living shit out of me. :P |

Gerard not gerald..im too lazy to show you exactly where. but Gerard Way and the band members say it all the time in interviews, when their asked about Helena..you can google 'meaning of helena mcr" or something like that..im sure you'll find it. On the other hand, three cheers for sweet revenge was a concept album, this song ties in with the concept. Its roughly about a deal with the devil, 1000 souls to be with a fallen love' or around that. Since this song is track 1 and the video is a funeral, it could be the pasrt where the 'main characters' lover dies, then the rest of the album goes through his story of fighting to get her back..etc.. Other side of this song, is just a tribute to gerards and mikeys brother. |

I already answered your previous post and I said I would drop it, but you seem to enjoy arguing... I'll answer your questions though... 1...MCR's goal isn’t to be the most original band in the world. or the best or some shit like that. What separates them from most rock bands, would be their performances, lyrics (even though some might be similar to other bands they will display different messages), Message; why are they a band. Love for their fans, personality, etc. My Chemical Romance like every every every other band has influences, from their background to their own music taste. Some of MCR's influences are Iron Maiden, Queen, The Smiths, The Misfits, Thrice...etc. 2. Ok, I looked at some videos, and read the lyrics on that list you provided, alot having to do with mishaps, pity, heartache, etc. It’s more then obvious that you are going to find some song that relates to another...or would remind you of another... MCR's 'Desert Song'...allot like Radioheads 'Pyramid Song' tunes are roughly similar. MCR stated that they where fans of Radiohead, yet the 2 songs, have 2 different meanings, because they were written by 2 different bands. Not all of MCR's songs are exactly the same. Bury Me in Black Welcome To The Black Parade Vampires Will Never Hurt You Cancer House Of Wolves ^These songs are entirely different from one another. 3. MCR has an appreciation for theatrics, gimmicks, shows, they want to make the show as best as they can. Their influences from shows, comics, bands etc also influences the way they dress. 4. I am not emo, and never said I am. I don’t support it or believe in that shit im sorry... If someone is emo, you can ask them what it’s all about, because really it is just a fad, a small cultish thing going on, and the majority of these people naming themselves emo, are infact depressed, suicidal. That, I give sympathy to. 5. Correct again, and it would be, and it is. Tons of bands adjust to whatever 'era', 'mini-movement' whatever the fuck you want to call it that’s going on. They change their look, message, sound, etc...that is called selling out. I don’t think My Chem would do this, because of the speeches and all the messages they say to their fans. Not by its physical apperance...I judge them by lyrical content, what message they bring, words they said, their performance, Mcr uses alot of theatrics in their concerts and shows, this is something I like alot. I look for talent(yes this is my opinion, mcr arnt legendary but all bands evolve) and I look for the band that involves their fans, whether it be talking to them, speeches, etc.. I see these things in MCR thats why they are one of my favorite bands.
