In the "Aeroplane" Liner notes the lines "Oh Sister, now that we're grieving Our fingers will falter Our lungs will be leaking All over each other and without even speaking We'll know that it's over and smile and go greeting Whatever comes next" After Two Headed Boy, ,and before "Holland" since "Two Headed Boy" and "The Fool" run together Im assuming it was to go after the fool and be a prequel to Oh, Comely |

Mr.Wuggs, your analysis of "Two Headed Boy Pt. 2" is stunningly sad. In fact the part about Jeff trying to put his brothers face together brings me to tears when I hear it now. However, Jeff Magnum's father is still alive and Jeff keeps close to him. In fact I read an interview of Jeff talking about living at his dads house when he wrote "Oh Comely" and being amazed and playing it for his dad. So while your interpretation is the best I've ever heard for Two Headed Boy Pt. 2, I very much doubt it applies exactly to Jeff's life. It's much more likely to be based on someone else. |

| I heard somewhere this is based on a dream Jeff Magnum had. It was tried in the studio but he didn't like how it came out. Great exaple (via the live versions) of how Jeff can turn a quiet serene scene into utter chaos, and this is his most chaotic song. The moog synth, feedback, imagery of a burning ferris wheel slicing the town in half. One of Neutral milk hotel's best. | |
