I definitively agree with amusiqa, the italian version is much better... as a matter of fact, the english version ruined this song for me. It's like watching an italian movie badly dubbed in english or vice versa... This year she sang 'Luce' at the closing of the winter Olympics in Turin... oh gosh, she was totally awesome! Gave me goosebumps throughout her performance. Way to go Elisa! |

I don't see how this song is related to drugs or alcohol in anyway. The message seems quiet clear... 'she' believes herself incapable of loving again, probably because she's been badly hurt in the past... that's why she needs a tourniquet; to stop bleeding. However, now she's met somebody who seems "the perfect fit" for her and she's asking "but can you save me?”, that is to say, ‘can you really make me change my mind about love?’ as right now she belongs to that rank of people who don’t believe in it. In Magnolia, where I first heard this song, I think ‘save me’ is particularly indicated to Claudia Wilson Gator (Melora Walters) story. She’s incapable of loving (‘cause of her father's actions in her childhood?) but then she meets the policeman (John Reilly) who seems such a perfect fit for her. Despite all, she’s afraid of loving or afraid she’ll never be able to love someone, that's why she is so reluctant with him. Oh well, that's my interpretation anyway. BTW, great song |

What a nice song, very melodic... and she's got a SEXY voice I must say. Could somebody out there suggest similar female vocalists, remaining on this musical genre? Keep in mind, thought, that i'm not really into gothic, so something in between the lines of Evanescence and Within Temptation... anybody? Thanks |

Great song that brings back great memories... too bad I don't have a clue of what she's talking about. I can't relate the lyrics to any metaphor, in fact I can't even see what she means in the first place. "..the dream that died with the eagles flight" If I had to take a wild guess, I'd say that by "eagles" here she is referring to some astronauts, maybe failing their mission? That would explain "the dream that died" part. The Apollo 10 mission comes to mind.. "when i wonder why are the seas still dry" The dry-seas (mare area of the moon).. If I recall correctly, in the Apollo 10 mission, one of the first descriptions of the moon from the astronauts was actually about the dry-seas area... well, it's also possible that I have far too much sense of imagination. I'd be happy to hear someone else's comments about the meaning of rthis song. |
