It's about Mike's panic attacks. I think Billie Joe co-wrote it, because he also has some sort of panic disorder. I feel bad for Mikey, panic attacks must be awful to go through. Anyways, I love the intro, and the lyrics, and the song in general. It's one of my favorite songs on Insomniac. Whenever I listen to it, I can imagine what it feels like to just start freaking out for no reason. It's a scary song, but very...honest? Great song. |

It's about Billie coming out of the closet. OR It could be about a kid who finds out he's homosexual, (not hetero) because of these lines: I found out what it takes to be a man Mom and dad will never understand So the kid doesn't think that his mom and dad will approve. But that could also be applied to Billie being bisexual. A lot of parents have problems with their kids being homosexual or bisexual. |
