"The mighty continents divided For a second time in all history" Am I crazy or does this seem like a reference to World War 2? Or at least some kind of political struggle. I think everyone's comments about love and relationships still apply, I'm just wondering how this opening reference ties in. "They found themselves just floating Free from all responsibility Without the weight of being whole Some fruits evolved all on their own" The first six lines of this song definitely seem to stick out from the rest of the song, and I wonder if maybe she is giving us a context for the rest of the song. But what that context is I am completely lost! |
