anything from the happy hollow album really. great concept album but pales in comparison to anything else they've done. Pop is good but these guys rock to hard to change their style. and as to not have a useless post, I'm loving the line New, but hardly improved, it's just new clichés "They might nail your hands, but your neck has been saved" funny how he continuously throws out all this religious imagery which he seems to hate so much. forced upon him by his family as I child I would assume... |

wood and nails reminds me of two things. one is obviously the cross and that would link up with the whole we all sin message. For some reason the lyrics Jesse wrote on the new album remind me SO much of Tim Kashner it isn't even funny. That being said, whenever Tim references carpentry, he's usually referencing Joseph. Maybe it's a similar case here as well? |

I get the sense that the protagonist WAS an alcoholic and that the point of the song is how that person got over their addiction. It would make sense at the end of the song that he's helping somebody get over their addiction as well when he says "I am not you're friend, I am just a man who knows how it feels..." obviously this is a metaphor for something much larger. I was not aware of any alcoholism plaguing brand new, specifically jesse. did anythign really important happen between deja and devil and god that would reflect this? NOTE: for those of you arguing about lyrics, let me enlighten you; First of all, billboard's guess is as good as ours. wanna know why? THE LYRICS ARENT INCLUDED WITH THE CD!! (although you can pay 1 dollar for them...dont ask me why they decided to do this!) believe me or not, you'll see for yourself when the album drops in 2 days. Anyways, the differences in the lyrics you are all arguing about are fairly trivial. just analyze the song and forget about the argument. |

| ya this song is called kimdracula. someone on the net mistakenly ID3 tagged the song with an incorrect name. they also incorrectly tagged riviere but that mistake hasnt been spread as much. It's kimdracula on the back of the cd, they've already arrived at retailers (as of oct 28th) so that is the real name of the song. I've already set myself aside a copy since we only got 45 in. | |

the name of this song has always been kimdracula, and that's exactly what it says on th eback of the cd. It comes out this coming tuesday (oct 31) but we already have it in stock (I work at best buy). kimdracula IS the name of the song. great song the snakes can be one of wo things. first I pictured snake tattoos on a girls arms. with all the apocalyptic lyrics I also was thinking of medusa, but seeing that chino usually writes fairly personal lyrics I'm sticking with the girl with snake sleeves. maybe he would rather be strangled by snakes than embraced by this woman? |

here are my ideas and thoughts: the stained walk crutch and hobbled sway part may actually be abou thow julio walked to the bridge. The rat poison that he injected in his arm (which threw him into the coma that de-loused is about) totally destroyed his left arm, leaving it shrivelled and numb. obviously if he had JUST gotten up from teh coma and decided to kill himself he wouldnt know how to walk with the dead weight on his body making him 'hobble and sway'...this makes sense to me anyways. for some reason house half the way makes me think that as he walked to the bridge he passed a 'house half the way' that is significant. maybe he walked by cedric's house? maybe the 'you should have seen the curse that flew right by you' is referencing cedric not noticing him walk by his house and how he couldnt stop him. dont know if its important to the song but I heard julio was actually hit by three cars, not just one. two ran him over completely and I guess the last one dragged him to his final resting place. just my thoughts! |

| the whole 'lazy science' bit and the 'i spend all my energy walking upright'. This song seems to me a comment on evolution of man. like the way we evolved to stand on two feet and the weight that this bears on our bodies. of course it isn't literal but almost definitley a metaphor for something else, like a mental weight being bore down on him...but ya. I guess this is a good enough starting point for now. | |

ok, I agree this is a very hard song to decypher, but there is one thing that stands out for me. Allow this year before the world starts to end whatever happened with the monstar and ryan and his plan to take over the universe/throw earth out of the fence or whatever other suggestions have been made...ya well it will take effect in one year. Claudio is asking for one year before everything falls apart. why a year? not sure but I have a hunch he has not become the crowing/the sinstar yet. The virus kicks in when they become 23...so maybe he's 22 and in one more year he'll be able to become the sinstar and save the universe. OR he already is the crowing sinstar thing and it will take him a year to fix everything? I like my first idea better. |

I'm pretty sure that this is about Mayo, the guy who tricked coheed and cambria into killing their kids (I say tricked because there is a huge plot behind all this and ryan wilhelm, mayo's boss, has got plans to like...rule the world or something liek that, basic comic book stuff) why do I say this? a couple reasons, obviously SOMETHING goes wrong (claudio is not killed, oops?) and I think this song is about ryan killing mayo for failure: You’ve been a bad boy You broke all the rules You’ve been a bad boy You’ll get yours paid in full and if you read the comic or have seen a picture of mayo (I think there's one at www.evilinkcomics.com) the left side of his face is machine, so when he says My right eye has done shed a tear, that makes a lot of sense. interestign he says something about his gun, the only other time a gun is mentioned is during a favor house atlantic, which is the gunfight between claudio and al the killer. same gun? I dunno, but that would be cool. anyone else want to add on to that? nEmo |
