I'm not sure when this song was actually written but it seems to me to be a metaphor for the production of the album. It took 6 years to push out just half the album due to endless technical and personal problems. It may have been a little over ambitious as well with the enormous virtual orchestra necessitating the mixing of 1500 audio tracks into a single album. The lyrics seem sound like they describe the writers block that Jari had talked about experiencing during production. One line, "I've been searching so long, but I will find you even if it takes my whole life" implies that he'll fight tooth and nail to his deathbed to finish this album, even at the cost of countless years that "Time" will never give back. The chorus closes on him begging Time not to leave him as he isn't finished yet. |
