Panic! at the Disco – The Piano Knows Something I Don't Know Lyrics 17 years ago
I do agree that there are two parts to this song, but i dont think they're un-related. What if the talk of cutting his beard and changing his hair is his love for "her". "It grows like fancy flowers but it grows nowhere". Like his love that grows for her, but it grows nowhere becasue she doesn't accept it, but even if it isn't returned he wont compromise himself or his feelings. They are true and he will fight to have them. I feel like the his "Trojan horse" is his way to break through her "wall" or whatever is stopping her from letting his love in. I think he needs to put a statue of himself to show that it was he who wanted in, and he who would fight to get in and maybe he'd be lost when he gets in and need a statue of himself to honour who he was, maybe to remember a time when she would've let him in.

I think the upbeat part of the song is more about her and even though the lyrics are negative due to the situation the music is upbeat because he can't talk about her without some sort of optimism.

Of course the song returns to the melow more depressing part as that is reality and his feelings should have the last word.

I dont know, thats just what I think. I could be wrong. What do you think?

This song is as the name suggests, the danse of the dead. Its the medieval myth where skeletons march dansing and playing drums on their heads.

Though this song has basically one line, and is very repetitive it is the most amazing song i've ever heard. It shows that you dont need a whole lot to make and amazing song.
