Rogue Traders – What You're On Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Look at the title of the song, "what your on" Am I the only person who gets it??? "If you succumb whats done is done, if you succumb, why don't you tell me what your on?" The song states the obvious... What drug? Why? But I was here for you? Why didn't you tell me? Depression? I'm here for you, always.. Don't we all have a friend/family that has gone through that? I love the verse, "I still see you smile" |

Midnight Oil – Sell My Soul Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Yes whatever101, u are right... Midnight Oil are so powerful with all of their songs, read their lyrics and you can see. Personally, this song brings back memories of being a teenager out for the night at a party with the girls and a girlfriend of mine said "NO" to her then boyfriend and he was pissed off... Later on that night we all sang "I'm not going to sell my soul to him" Thank gooodness she didn't, he wasn't worth it!!!! |

Pink – Who Knew Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Nightlilies, I got the biggest goose bumps reading your post. Yes, this song would mean soo much to you, as everyone else has said it the end of something, whether it be a break up of a relationship or a death, it's still an ending and it hurts like mad. My case was a death, my brother. Your situation is similiar, someone you loved here one day and gone the next. Who knew???? We didn't..... |

Answer to your question sHaNnY_rOx... I don't know, but I know that my brother comitted suicide in Feb of this year and this was the song that helped me through it...So yeah, maybe in a way as the best part of your life or what you like to remember back to is the teenage years and how you wish you'd be forever young.... Not sure but I know I think of my bro everytime I hear it. |

Placebo – Song To Say Goodbye Lyrics | 18 years ago |
Read an interview where he stated that this song was about himself, his drug addiction. How he seen himself a crying, tragic wasted space . It becomes two people in the one (as can happen with drug abuse or any mental condition), how he was normal, voice that made him cry (great voice) blessed with lucky sevens etc but that didn't do him much good as he still dabbled with drugs big time... The whole outcome of the song is he seperates himself from the drug depended person, he says goodbye to that "part" of persona, the druggie, wasted, tragic, lying waste of space.... Even though the film clip shows a Father and Son, the meaning of the song is ONE. One person, 2 different personalities in it...Song to say goodbye, to the drug addicted part of him.... Love the song as I do all placebo songs... |
