I think this song is about a person being a mental asylum or rehab and he's visiting them. If you just listen to the lyrics you will understand. "A stranger with a door key, explaining that I'm just visiting" I think that's a doctor with the door key and is telling him/her that he's just visitng. |

| I think it is a beautiful song...one of the best they have done. And it is proven by being recieved a position on the blink 182 greatest hits C.D. Only 17 tracks were picked and that one for sure was at the top of their list. As for the meaning, well its obviously about suicide "I never thought I'd die alone". Commiting sucicide in the room or while no ones around. Mark wrote the song because a kid wrote an email to him telling him that he was going to commit suicide. Also, the lyrics "I traced the chord back to the wall, no wonder it was never plugged in at all" refers to Tom being in his garage and his amp and him were standing in a puddle while he was playing. He would have been electrocuted if it had been plugged in, fortunately, it was not. Well, I'm starting to ramble on so...Talk to you later. | |
