| White Lies – Death Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
Hey, more exact lyrics (a few words changed, etc.) Death by White Lies I love the feeling when we lift off watching the world so small below. I love the dreaming when I think of the saftey in the clouds out my window. I wonder what keeps us so high up, could there be a love beneth these wings? If we suddenly fall should i scream out or keep very quiet and cling to my mouth as i'm crying, so frightened of dying? Relax? Yes, I'm trying but fear's got a hold on me. Yes, this fear's got a hold on me. Yes, this fear's got a hold on me. I love the quiet of the night time when the sun is drowned in the deathly sea. I can feel my heart beating as i speed from the sense of time catching up with me. The sky set out like a pathway but who decides which route we take? As people drift into a dream world, I close my eyes as my hands shake and when I see a new day... Who's driving this anyway? I picture my own grave, cause fear's got a hold on me. Yes, this fear's got a hold on me. Yes, this fear's got a hold on me. Yes, this fear's got a hold on me. Yes, this fear's got a hold on me. Floating neither up or down I wonder when I'll hit the ground. Will the earth beneath my body shake and cast your sleeping hearts awake? Could it tremble stars from moonlit skies? Could it drag a tear from your cold eyes? I live on the right side, I sleep on the left thats why everything has got to be love or death. Yes, this fear's got a hold on me. Yes, this fear's got a hold on me. Yes, this fear's got a hold on me. Yes, this fear's got a hold on me. Yes, this fear's got a hold on me. Yes, this fear's got a hold on me. Yes, this fear's got a hold on me. Yes, this fear's... |

| Arctic Monkeys – Do Me a Favour Lyrics | 18 years ago |

end lines are: "To tear apart the ties that bind, perhaps 'fuck off' might be too kind, perhaps 'fuck off' might be too kind." |

| Bromheads Jacket – Woolley Bridge Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| i've liked bromheads lyrics for a while for their lyrics but i was bloody amazed when i met a group of 30 "surrey girls" on holiday (i am from a town up in scotland) and i was blown away at how accurate bromheads are with this song, right down to the "glasses bigger than her face" and "giving a good f..." lol | |
| Arctic Monkeys – You Probably Couldn't See for the Lights but You Were Looking Straight at Me Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Alex says it is about the lead singer of a favourite band of his "The Little Flames" who he took a liking to. In the crowd he had the feeling that she was staring straight at him and that he was in with a chance but in reality she was just staring into the crowd and couldn't make out anyone because of the blinding stage lights. | |
| Arctic Monkeys – Curtains Closed Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
apparently it is about smoking weed in bed and how Alex felt when he did I guess - maybe he wrote it while stoned, because it does seem a bit strange. "I told you not but no crack in the doobie But it was already rolled" is the drugs part and the rest of the song is the random descriptive thoughts of his life he got when stoned... |

| Kings of Leon – The Bucket Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
I think it is about Jared and how Caleb sees him. "You kick the bucket, I'll swing my legs" could mean that Jared says things or does things that gets Caleb into trouble, as in it is Jared that is kicking the bucket or saying the stupid thing but it is Caleb that ends up getting hung and takeing the fall. |

| Little Man Tate – What, What You Got? Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
the title should be "What? What You Got" cracking song - saw them live last night - amazing.. quite obvious about the recent culture of certain city girls binge drinking and sleeping around and not caring about it |

| Arctic Monkeys – The View from the Afternoon Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
"And you can pour your heart out but a reason it will block 'Owt you send her after nine o' clock" i thought it was: "And you can pour your heart out but her reasoning will block 'Owt you send her after nine o' clock" and what probably make more sense? |

| Milburn – What Could You Have Won Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
my favourite song by Milburn... i see it as being a little story : guy goes out and gets plastered with some mates and wanted to try it on with a girl ("all he wanted was a kiss") just as the club or pub is closing, and when he goes for it he gets knocked back and "falls" because he is so leathered. He is then walking home at night drunk after being knocked back at the club; he doesn't manage to get to his phone on time or get a taxi and he's starting to feel sick so the night is ending up a total blow-out... Then because he is so drunk, he feels bored and makes a drunken call to the girl from earlier, but she maybe knocks him back again or tells him off for phoning because he is drunk and he "falls"... "your ignorance was bliss" - maybe she was happy before she knew he liked her, but in the back of her mind she does like him so she tries to get with the guy, but maybe because she had knocked him back before or because he is sober now, the man knocks her back... and she "falls" so it all ends in full circle |
