This song is talking about a drug/alcohol addiction. Drugs bring out the worst in people, and you deffinately cannot run from them. If you're a drug addict then you know what its like to have people not understand you or understand things you do. When he says dont you ever turn your back on the ones who helped you down, he's referring to the drug addicts enablers(for example: people who knew he was a drug addict but continued to give him money), which in the longrun helped him to his bottom. |
