Obviously, this is a reference to the July 7th, 2005 bombings in in London, and about the whole 'war on terror' and how irrational it is, similar to the witch hunts in the middle ages. It mentions the Daily Mail (tabloid) and television which is probably a reference to propaganda spread by the media and government. That's my take on it, I guess. |

althoughi agree with the past comments that interpreted it as wanting to settle down, i think it's also about loving someone who's bad for you. the line "I'd wear your black eyes.." seems to say that much at least. or i could be wrong and it could be just about wanting to be someone's housewife. |
