This is the most beautiful jazz song I've ever heard. (I'm referring to version of Joao Gilberto and Stan Getz). This is bossa nova at it's greatest. The lyrics are also marvellous. They are about the "legitimacy" of playing bossa nova. "No peito dos desafinados tambem bate um coracao": In the heart of those "out of tune" also beats a heart. |

the lyrics of this song- in contrast to most of mana's other songs-are just great. "cuando los angeles lloran, llovera" (when the angels cry, it will rain) that refers to environmental activist mendez (the angel) who was murdered for fighting against the logging of the rainforest. the acoustic guitar intro of the mtv unplugged version is also superb (as is everything on that album). |
