I don't get why Green Day keeps on bashing religion in their songs. Everyone has the right to believe in whatever they want, no one FORCES you to believe in something. This song doesn't have much of a point to it. Not only because "faith fanatics" will just get fired up and protest against it but it WON'T change anyones beliefs. They think just because they write a song that bashes religion that someone will stop believing in God. Not going to happen. I miss the old Green Day songs like "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" which hit me on a personal level. This song as well as other songs on their new album gets 0/10. Just leave it alone. |

Woo I haven't been on this site in a while.. "arememberingsky" I didn't say ALL black people fit into that category. I'm sure there are plenty of smart, educated black people out there. BUT that doesn't mean it's the majority. Look at Detroit for example. Just read the Detroit Free Press and you'll see what I'm talking about. Detroit 30-40 years ago was economically fit. We had jobs, we had money, everyone was employed and for the most part, we could have taken a walk in downtown Detroit without having to worry about being shot or getting robbed/mugged. Detroit today is like a third world country. Why? Ill let you figure that out yourself. My point of my first comment was based on the last few sentences. The first couple of paragraphs were rambles and mostly beside the point. Long live Obama and let him hide his papers stating that he wasn't actually born in the U.S. OH and long live socialism! |

This song just goes to show how fucked up black people are in this country. I hate to be the racist one that lies in every white person but what I'm saying is true. And I'm no white supremisist either. To start off, have you seen the video for this song? There is maybe one white person in a crowd full of black people. That to ME is racist. Holding signs in the video that said "Africa" is also extremely diverse, right? Young Jeezy has maybe the stupidest lyrics I have ever heard. "Will Email Jesus Tell Him Forward To Moses And CC Allah" You're joking, RIGHT?! Also, what modernlove said is very true. If it wasn't for one of our presidents, white people would still be slave owners. The stupidity of this "rapper" is beyond belief. It's sad that our generation has come to a point to support such a dumbass. It seems like now that Obama has become president of the U.S., african americans have become so ignorant to a point where its just ridiculous. It seems like they think they have won some kind of war over white people because the president is now black. Trust me, there was/never will be a war against black people. Obama is just like every other white president. Here's a little "factoid", Barack Obama's campaign raised more money then any other presidential nominee in history. That concerns me, where is he getting all this money from? Sure as hell not poor black people with 6 kids living off welfare. And that's another thing, did you know black people in this country consume more welfare money then senior citizens?! It's like we are working for them to live! The corruption of this man to me sits so obvious. The naked eye may not see it, but to trained eyes, its obvious. Where am I going with this? BLACK PEOPLE STOP BEING SO FUCKING IGNORANT. Yes "our president is black" but sure as hell, you don't have a lambo, nor do you have blue rims! And just because we have a black president doesn't mean you have any power over white people and don't boast like you actually did something for this country because there's a good chance you didn't do shit except complain that white people have so much power. (sorry for the run-on) Being racist is a completely different story as I'm sure 99% of black people in this country are in fact "racists." But I wont be going into detail with that. Hopefully a change will be coming, a change where we can all live in fucking peace (black, white, etc) with zero % unemployment, little to no crimes, smart educated people of all kinds graduating schools and colleges etc. And no asshats like "young jeezy" making millions off of stupid, illiterate, songs like this one. Maybe its about history think about it....WWII when Hitler was in power and the Americans and all of their allies came to take over Nazi GErmany and put Hitler out of power. they used conventional bombing wich is aerial bombing..when germans new this they put up their walls and made shelters for themselves. the song meaning to me is that their comes a day in ones life when all the good and all of the fun just isnt good or fun anymore. this a day when your lucky to survive such a day. i think that the band was on tour and they were surrounded with freinds and partying. But after a while it all ends and they realize that this is not all that their is in life. their has to be more.... And if you die, I wanna die with you the meaning behind this is that hes feeling so lonely and empty that he would wanna just die so he would stop feeling it..."and if you go i wanna go with you" means that if you go i wanna go with you to experience something new to fill that lonelyness and emptiness.... my opnion its awesome very emotional i wish it would of been a tad longer.. |

Did any of you think that maybe this song is not in a political veiw? I think its about all rockers who choose to rock out every day. it means that our generation of music may not agree with us. i mean look at the music world in America mostly is Rap and pop. so Rap and pop is the generation of music that did not agree with the genre of rock. so us "rockers" will all go down in history for being different and one of a kind. "Two pictures of time and space are rearranged" two pictures of our generation RAP and ROCK. "Brandy for the nerds" Refering to a person who does not like any of the two genres.
