i really dont the line about the tables is metaphorical. I'm willing to bet its just something that really happened with this girl. He made a table that they kept magazines and what not on and one day it collapsed while she had her legs resting on it. Same with the avocado and couch lines. The only metaphor would be the ghost line and he's just saying that she still haunts the place because so many things make him think of her. |

This is a great song that can have religious or nonreligious meaning. Just because they are a Christian band doesn't mean they can't sing about other things.
