As 3dgfanatic said this song is about times when some people, though not all, close themselves off to the rest of the world, usually when something traumatic happens, or even a prolonged situation where they are tormented by their own mind for something that they percvieve as their own fault. The people who do close themselves off tend to stay in a world all by themselves until they either work it out or force themselves to feel the pain and put it behind them. And its not really emo, its saying that they want to feel the world around them, not that they want it to stop because they are hurt. |

Um, Germany did not try to take over the world twice. WWI was not an attempt to take over the world, they were actually forced into the war to uphold their part of the alliance with Austria-Hungary and in truth were reluctant to go to war because they knew that Russia (Soon to be the Soviet Union) would eventually be forced to join against them. (They were actually on good terms at the time, Russia was not a socialist regime yet as it was still a Czardom.) And um, from what I have heard Germany is having many problems with people openly speaking of Nationalsozialismus which in English is National Socialism, a.k.a. Nazism. This is from what my step-sister has told me about the country and she just moved here to the U.S. about a year ago and still has Duel Citizenship for another year. So as a couple people have already said, know what you are talking about before you speak. As for this song, it is a great song. And as a few people have said it is about the Globalization of Americanism, with all its flaws. The American way of life is being forced by the American Corporations, and to some extent the people themselves (by either sheer disregard for how other people live or the belief that "our" way of life is better then theirs and they should have ours, I won't even go into religion here.) whether they want it or not. |

Hmm, interesting song. To me its saying that someone has taken everything that they ever liked about themselves away and all that is left for them is the pain to make them feel alive. Hence the line: "But to get to know this macicist Who has stolen my first name" it is that thats the only thing that gives them any satisfaction anymore. Without pain they are dead to the world. Any other views? |

| She is saying that she was given 24 hours left to live, and she realizes this so she is wanting to make sure everything will be completed when she dies. Actually I did a paper on the connection between song and poem using this song. | |

| Okay, what is with people saying that this means you hate? When you translate the song in context "hate" does NOT fit in. | |

| Yes I have to agree with acetica, but I think that they are saying religion is also used to justify wars. Hence the title. Is war ever truly justifiable though? I believe its unavoidable at times, but people should never decieve themselves into thinking that justice was served. | |
