To me, it sounds likes its about a guy who had to leave someone he loves, but he tells her not to do anything stupid, coz he'll be coming back because he loves her ("so leave yourself intact, because i will be coming back in the phrase to cut these lips: i love you") However while he is away, he stops loving her, He then changes it for her to not do anything stupid, but he won't be coming back as he does love her anymore ("so leave yourself intact, because i won't be coming back in a phrase to cut these lips, i loved you") I duno if Im completely off here, but its always another angle to look at the song from that hasnt been mentioned yet. A truely beautiful song though. Probs my fav song of theirs. |
