Yeah this song definately has a unique sound to it - it's unlike anything 311 has ever done. There's no real message here (another warning to steer clear of cocaine) - its just the band messing around and having fun. This is some of the best rapping by both SA and Nick in one song. Not to mention the breakdown at the end is just awesome. |

I also think this is another warning to stay away from hard drugs directed towards the youth who listen to 311...a common theme in several songs. Nick's trying to do a bit of public service with songs like this. |

It is kind of a sad song actually...it starts out as just a good time and ends on a sad note with the kid doing cocaine and feeling like crap because of it, but still wanting to do more 'just keep fiending til the fuckin break of dawn' |

brownguy - you are an idiot and it shows how much you know about 311 if you actually think they are racist. They are the farthest thing from it....if you dont like the song thats fine but you dont have to trash the band, it only makes you look stupid. I love this song but I have to agree with the people who say the Cure's version sounds way too depressing and emotionless to be called "Love Song"...however they did write it, sooo.. |
