erinsemotears was right on. its about smokin bud at first and the feeling you get when you are high. then the heroin and its feelings on it. "im not an addict its cool i feel alive" all addicts and drug users say they arent addicted when they are. "if you dont have it your on the other side" ... self explanitory i think. the end is about coming down and how you feel like shit when you do... this song is the shit. |

I think this song is about a guy who finds out that his girl friend is in love with someone else. At the begining he is thinking about what to do. when it says "tonights the night i let love aside" he wants her to be with her new love and so he's going to drive and crash but he wants her to live like when he says "i prayed for your safe place" and "i made sure you were buckled in" so yeah he crashes and he thought he would die fast but he is dying slow "i thought it would be so much quicker then this, the pain is so brilliant" so yea and the chorus "my knuckles have turned to white, theres no turning back tonight, kiss me one last time" he is gripping the wheel so tight his knuckles are white and he cant turn back but yeah thats just basically what i got out of this song.. i cant explain it all but i tried haha! i love this song.
