| The Aquabats – Pool Party Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| Yeah, MizunoPunk. I was listening to this song with a few friends, and I was like "I like how they played a little bit of Rush there at the end," and they had no idea what I was talking about, so I played them the part, and they still had no clue. I'm not a huge fan of Rush, but I still acknowledge their place in rock music. | |
| Alkaline Trio – Burn (Matt's Home Demo) Lyrics | 20 years ago |

i agree, the demo lacks melodical depth. however, i find it raw, gritty, and a little more personal without the drums and bass. the vocals sound pure, and they more than make up for the lack of Dan and Derek. when i first heard Burn, i was stunned that Matt could both write and play a song with that complex of a guitar effect. i haven't done any research into what gear he actually uses for the song, so don't criticize my guesses too much here. my first theory was that he used a wah and a delay pedal, and either controlled the wah himself or had a tech control it off-stage for live shows. after hearing his home demo version, i now believe he uses some combination of a delay and a phaser. as to what the song is about, it's not entirely clear. it is obvious that it is about something that resides inside of your head, eating you up and burning you down. but as to what exactly that something is, i have no clue. anyone else know? |

| Joe Satriani – I Believe Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
" I've been out walking, For hours I got something on my mind How did we get here? Where are we going? Why is life so hard" i think about this stuff all the time, because these questions have no definite answers at all. Sure we can guess, but there's no way of knowing how right we are. I think Joe's saying he believes we can control the future, no matter how weird or impossible that sounds. If we are passionate and strong enough, we can mold and create to our desire. But if we don't make any attempt, the future just might control us. |

| James Blunt – So Long, Jimmy Lyrics | 20 years ago |

this song is 100% about jim morrison and 0% about jimi hendrix. id name all the reasons, but most have been said already. all i know is, anyone who thinks this song is about anybody other than morrison, is stupid. peace. |

| James Blunt – High Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| i agree with you polar420, it's most likely about getting stoned rather than a girl. why would he name the song High if it was about the sun or a girl or something else? It has to be about blazing. | |
