Josh Kelley – I Don't Mind Singing Lyrics 18 years ago
this song, to me, is about being in a relationship that's just too hard.. the other person has some issues - blocks - and the singer is too overwhelmed by their issues to continue on.

it's pretty sad.

The Cranberries – I Can't Be With You Lyrics 18 years ago
no one has offered a meaning to the song yet, and it's pretty easy/clear: she is in love with someone, and for some amicable reason, that person isn't there and she can't get over it.
but that's just me.

Taking Back Sunday – Spin Lyrics 20 years ago
For most songs, the lyrics hold the most power. The lyrics for this one are good, yeah, but the music is just BAM. TBS has a knack for writing about people who've wronged, and using the music to match. Absolutely delightful :) oh, and I don't think this is the complete song -- it's the version that I have, but it isn't their style to make a song as short as this... it sounds as if, at the end, it's just going into the interlude. That means that the last chorus should be uber-powerful. That excites me to no end... YES!

Bayside – If You're Bored Lyrics 20 years ago
Yes, the lyrics are a tad off. And the breaks shown above aren't as they appear in the song. It's quite a shame.. To me, this song is about people who take no initiative to make life worthwhile. They hide themselves from the search for happiness, taking up interest in those things that don't matter one bit. Only when those pointless interests expire, when they are forced to look elsewhere, will they see what they should have been confronting all this time.

Jason Mraz – Tonight, Not Again Lyrics 20 years ago
I think this song is about relationships, in general -- how he gets into them, and how they end. "as I was on my own now" and "this time, like every other time" and "ANOTHER sweet little girl" point to there being several relationships. The following verse with "unable to inhale all the riches" may point to him not fully appreciating what he has, because, as the old saying goes, you don't know what you have until it's gone. That could be a reason for all the relationships ending, too. Just a thought. And the note he carries out after the interlude, that long "again"... I love it. Great, great song. Reminds me of nights last summer.

Stacie Orrico – Maybe I Won't Look Back Lyrics 20 years ago
Yes, some of the lyrics are incorrect. If you give this song a listen, it's pretty obvious what this song is about -- "not very proud of the way I live today", "if I change my heart today, tomorrow it might be okay, and maybe I won't look back"... you know you've got parts of your life that are bad, and you realize the solution, and you're asking for help. Stacie Orrico is a Christian singer, so presumably, the help is from God. Easy to understand, yes, and I freakin' love this song. She shows off her R&B side very well in this, without going over the top or sounding "rap-ish".

Jimmy Eat World – Polaris Lyrics 20 years ago
This song is tricky. JEW can be quite ambiguous with their lyrics... I'd say that this song is about someone leaving the speaker, and with the line "you say that love goes anywhere" the person leaving is trying to comfort the speaker, and instead of fighting for it, the speaker sees the uselessness of trying, and lets the person go -- "when you go, I'll let you be / but you're killing everything in me" -- the speaker is obviously upset, but there's nothing else they can do.
