Insert and I are on the same page. I personally interpreted it to be Satan talking to Jesus. How he was made to fly (he is an angel) and how Jesus was made to die (his purpose was to die for man's sins) and how he is arrogantly trying to shove it in Jesus's face that he is better than him, and that he is coming to start his war in heaven against all good. |

From 3:28 to 3:58 reminds me of drunk guys staggering out of a bar singing after a bar fight, but in this case, the beat and rape of his girlfriend. Like he just got done and is being delusional and unaware of what's going on anymore. Not trying to say that that's what it stands for or anything, that's just what it's like for me...could be from the girl's point of view at that time being as if she's "face down like a sailor" Who knows. That's my favorite part out of any ETID song, though. |

"Skeptical" isn't by Tool. The song is actually called "Skeptic" and it's by Chevelle. I'm still wondering if "Choked" is really by Tool or not. Sounds like it, but sitting on leather seats sounds like a fart alot of the times, too. |

This song is about the "No Quarter" policy during the Revolutionary War that Great Britain enforced which required Americans to house and offer food to the British soldiers. If they didn't, they would be severely punished, if not killed. Oh, and John Paul Jones wrote the lyrics, not Robert Plant. |

Yeah, they did. I sadly believe that they don't have the potential to do that solo, or even come up with one of their own. Don't get me wrong, I love Deadsy, but their guitar riffs are usually very simple and they never have solos, which I sorda' frown upon. Oh well, still love 'em. |

I agree with philtheman on this...and here's why. The island that CC speaks of could be the hospital. "I was happy in this fortress" Meaning he was happy and eager to see his baby being born. "But the hours grew so empty" meaning that the wait for the birth grew longer and longer. "In the figure of a woman, she pulled me out to sea" that could be the nurser coming to get him, telling him that his baby had just been born? Not sure, but that's how I take that part. And then there's the sort of obvious line of "when you come down to take me home" meaning possibly that he'll stop touring and stay home to spend time with his newborn. and "when you come around you'll make me whole" is just stating the obvious. "and inside her shown a young light, from her labor I was saved" again stating the obvious that his newborn was the light that it saved him. -shrugs- I dunno, that's just how I take it. |
