Interesting, I'm glad Muse are actually tuned in to this, I think they may have a bit of knowledge of the New World Order Conspiracies - they're basically saying we are being dumbed down to what is happening around us - maybe also there is a hint of religion here as they are saying we shouldnt be afraid to die - my opinion anyway and the NWO is so complex it would take me an age to go into it. Wow this has to be one of the best long blondes songs! I love it and I can relate to it in so many ways.. For me it talks about running away from your lame life you have in somewhere you don't belong.. Kate had always wanted to move to Sheffield as her hero Jarvis Cocker came from there and this song to me shows how she was separated from the life and place that was her. I love the line "for a girl this is not an acceptable plan" To me this song somes up how I feel at the moment as I live down south and My boyfriend lives in Sheffield and We really are separated by Motorways.. |

I believe it is "dead eyed bitch" Even though when you listen it sounds a little like dullard.
Anyway I did some research and HOW it fits in the song is.. The Long Blondes decided to preview the new album under the name The Dead Eyed Bitches. The name of the "band" is part of a lyric from "Giddy Stratospheres".
So that's how baffled king.

I've never really given Leona Lewis a second thought, but I happened to watch Xfactor on Saturday, and I never watch it, and she was a guest on there, and I honestly thought oh great here we go some boring shitty song and she put me in my place and sung this song! I love the Snow Patrols version, and Leona sings it so beautiful, It actually sent shivers down my spine, and I am questioning if it's better than the original. Haunting, a big well done to Leona, she has my respect now.
I know some snow patrol fans will hate it, but I think she should be respected for her voice in this song and not slated as she's not cool enough to sing it. |

I really don't think it is about Kurt and it pisses me off that kurt fans hang on to dave as if he has the power to bring him back and sings about him in every song! Sorry if I'm being offensive but please! Dave has said its about ordinary heros and he probably only said it has a little bit to do with Kurt because he had death threats or something from hardcore Cobain fans. I am not dissing Kurt I am just saying is not all of his songs are to do with Kurt and this one isn't. |

I was in my car the other day with my mum and this song came on the cd player and my mum was like, this was came out when i was pregnant with you and how she liked it. It made me swell up because my mum went through hell when she was pregnant with me, her boyfriend left her and she was homeless etc, and i just imagined myself in my mums position, pregnant and still in love with her ex. It reminds me of a situation I was inmyself recently, I fell "in love" Or infatuation with someone, even though I had a longterm boyfriend, and the questions in this song were the ones I asked myself " I know that i've been mad in love before

I agree with cantankerous a few pages back, they said "they have broken up. not on good terms. she doesn't know what went wrong and she want's him to tell her, to "say it right." she tells herself he doesn't mean anything to her, but she can't let it go, until she hears it right, and get's closure.... to set her free. and if he doesn't "say it right" she thinks there might still be a chance because she still loves him. " I agree with it because it relates to a situation Im in now, I was seeing a bloke & was really into him, even broke up with my long term boyfriend and gave up life as i knew it for him but he finished with me, after a short relationship not on good terms and I don't really know what happened. This song was played at a nightclub and it just made sense, I was convincing myself he meant nothing to me but deep down I felt he had "what it takes to set me free" we then got talking and he said why did i let you go, and it was like he "said it right" and agreed to be friends, yeah sorry for the life story but this song is really significant to me even if Iam just lost in an infatuation and is so catchy with a great beat and guitar riff at the end!!! |

This song was actualy written by the vocalist (don't know her name) after a break up with her long term boyfriend. I think it is very metaphorical and shows how shes getting over it 'stumbling a little' finding it a bit hard. |
